  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 10:11 PM) "Walker's main purpose is to help the younger players learn how to hit. To blame him for this team's offensive struggles is ludicrous." - PFB WHAT?!?!? WHAT?!?! When have we ever had a good offensive rookie? If that's his only purpose on this team then he definitely needs to be fired. I nearly fell over on that one. His body of work with our first round CF prospect should earn him some link card time.
  2. Don from Carol Stream with the call of the night. What is Greg Walker doing? What does a hitting coach do? PFB response. Super spin time. There is no reason, you cant pinpoint what is going wrong. The hitting coach doesnt do anythign with the sluggers. His job is working with younger players(like Brian anderson eak). most hititng coaches wont do anything, to change a hitters approach. Its all on the players. He helps prepare them. LOL And it isnt the hitting coaches fault. So PFB. All of our hitters have decided as a group, lets pull the baseball. And thats it. No Kalapse I am not black, and my name is not Don from Carol Stream.
  3. The screener does his job. He finds a dumbass Ken from Hinsdale. He isnt worried about our offense, its the cold. Dye is his only worry. This guy must drink during the other ABs.
  4. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:58 PM) Did he bother explaining how the weather didn't effect the Rangers' bats? I want to see his screener cherry pick enough positive happy calls. Besides the elderly woman that calls up every night with some feeling, or premanition about sox success. Her calls are mindless. " I saw a bird my back yard, and it reminded me of Pods homerun in the world series. He will be back and will hit another home run this year. I feel great about the team. Ozzie will keep them in check"
  5. The pink fuzzy bunny just blamed the weather. He can go away any day now.
  6. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:50 PM) Our hitting still sucks ass Its cold. Dont worry when a bad pitching staff comes in(ooh whoops), and its not a lefty(ooh whoops), and we are at home(oooh whoops) we will start hitting. We can hire the guy from the Natural to address our team. Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as polio. Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as syphilis. Losing is a disease... ...as contagious as bubonic plague...
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:44 PM) The scary thing is that your boyfriend will never get fired during the season. Oddly a talented 2005 Indians team came out of the gate bad, couldnt hit. They fired Murray. They took off and basically ripped the living s*** out of the ball.
  8. Well I cant wait to hear the excuses from Guillen. it was cold, it was a bad night. The ball was only warm for the Rangers. the hitters are close. whatever
  9. I wonder how the pink fuzzy bunny will spin this turd tonight.
  10. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:20 PM) The Sox are playing like s***, but some of you people here are ridiculous with your comments. Some of you deserve what's happening to your "favorite" team. Is it Karma. Should I call Earl to cross the sox off his list.
  11. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:19 PM) Can anyone reasonably explain the phenomenon we're witnessing tonight. It's utterly amazing and unique in its own regard. The weater.........apparently.......shifts 30 degrees when we're up to bat and then returns to 70 when Texas is up. This is really the only explanation for what we've seen. Hawk has told me when it's cold, no one hits -- so I can only assume there's some amazing shift in climate every half inning. Its a global warming trend. The ice caps melted, causing a penguin to fart, that carried the wind into the chicago area. And it is swirling into the Cell. every bottom of the inning you see at least a 50 degree temp drop.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:13 PM) WHO THE f*** THROWS SAMMY f***ING SOSA AN 0-2 FASTBALL!?!?!? The amature wrestler put down the sign.
  13. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 09:06 PM) suck now, get hot later. It's a new trend. We have always been known as a 2nd half team.
  14. QUOTE(keninem @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:58 PM) Rangers announcers just summed it all up nicely... "If you've got a young pitcher that has walked 4 in six innings and you have only 3 hits, you have a better chance at a walk than getting a hit, and you have no reason to be swinging at a 3-1 pitch when you're leading off and down by 4" Dont worry. Greg will quote the temps, he will tell us that they are just about there and he saw some positive signs from tonights debacle.
  15. By the way, the bitter bitter cold doesnt seem to hold back the Ranger offense tonight.
  16. When Sammy Sosa can hit the ball the other way, why cant our team.
  17. Hawk and DJ trying to resurrect Natural Quotes. In the natural. Loosing is contagious, like the plague. In the Hawk booth. Hitting is contagious.
  18. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) How does Walker get away with not chaning any approach...its a homer of naugh team. wE SUCK He thinks we are okay. That its the weather, a gnats fart, or some other excuse. He also thinks that this is a line drive approach.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) I'm deeply concerned for southsideirish right now. Papa Jack should be on speed dial.
  20. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:25 PM) NO F'NNNNN WAYYAYA, LIKE ZOMMGMGMGM LOLOLOLOLLERZSKATZ YALL
  21. QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:21 PM) thanks Mr. Robets ?
  22. Hawk and DJ are starting the process of Cy Youngification. According to DJ this kid is Cy Young. He has 5 or 6 pitches. And Hawk mentioned Juan Marischal.
  23. QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) your all the biggest bandwagon fans in the world geez It's you are.
