  1. Hitting the ball up the middle and going the other way might be something that our RHs try to figure out. Instead of working out the SS and 3rd basemen.
  2. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Does Ozzie NOT understand that we have a .333 winning percentage with Widger in the lineup? Could someone PLEASE point this out to him? Logic doesnt apply to someone who put 5'8 Timo Perez over at 1st base last year. Do you think that if he did that he is afraid of putting Widger in.
  3. I wonder if Widger is going to get himself a card on August 16th. The two month anniversary of his last hit.
  4. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) i wonder what juan was thinking? Profundo!!!!!!!
  5. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Somewhere on a Tigers board there's a Jphat clone screaming, "Damn Bloops!"
  6. Bases loaded. Gork shot. Okay Rally Crede center the ball up. NO freaking GIDPS.
  7. Thome walks. Farmer says Rodger wants Konerko to pull it to the 3rd baseman or the SS. How about hitting the ball up the middle or to the right side.
  8. QUOTE(Allsox @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) Folks, Widger is the BACKUP catcher, AJ can't start every game! Every team in the majors has the same setup as the Sox do so this shouldn't continue to be something to get angry about nor to be fixed so enuff of the ragging! And Ozuna grounds into a double play. Way to go, Pablo I would like our backup catcher to at least get more than a hit in a month. Especially considering he gets more playing time than a lot of backup catchers out in baseball.
  9. Ozuna GIDPs. Our leadoff hitting has been great. 2 pitches Ozuna has seen this game. Wow
  10. Widger strikes out. Glad he is in there to face the tough lefties.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) Yeah, he's almost exclusively throwing sidearm, this is not encouraging. Usually when he's on he'll throw mainly overhand then mix in a few sidarm fastballs in or sliders low and away to throw people off. He can locate with the over the top motion better than he can with the sidearm. Our approach is puzzling.
  12. Conteras is not throwing over the top according to Farmer. Hopefully we can learn how other teams get out the .248 hitting Monroe.
  13. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) This team is just done right now. Physically, emotionally, they need that 2nd wind to hurry up and come cause right now, they got nothing left in the tanks. You might need to up the anti-depressant medicine.
  14. Lefty soft tossing pitchers want right handed hitters to pull their pitches on the ground to either the 3rd baseman or the SS. It seems that we havent figured this one out quite yet.
  15. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) You can cancel the postgame show. That was a fitting end to this inning.
  16. Lets keep working out the left side of the infield. The more work they get, maybe they will get tired. Dye hits it where Rogers pitches it. See how that works.
  17. Now Widger maggs likes the outside pitch and will hit it into right. Please go in on him.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) Good start on the pitching side too. Widger is establishing the outside corner, what a shock.
