Anyone ever stay at the Rio
The first time I went to Vegas, I stayed at the Rio. It was absolutely fantastic. As you said, the only drawback is the distance from the strip. But if you're willing to get over that, the Rio is a great choice. Terrific rooms, great food, nice atmosphere. The pool area is impressive as well.

Hawk
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 06:05 AM) Yeah, that's exactly what I was referring to. That's just asinine. Obviously I wasn't referring to his cancer, but you felt like you could make some idiot accusation. I guess since DJ had testicular cancer, noone can say he's uninteresting? We should all baby him and talk about how impossibly wonderful and charming he is? Exactly which disease were you referring to then? You didn't say DJ was uninteresting, you said his disease was uninteresting. I'm curious which one you were talking about if it wasn't his cancer.

Buerhle Injury Update
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) If he's broght up early his arb clock gets started early... He'd likely be eligible for FA following the 2010 season, and you'd get 6 full seasons use out of him. If he comes up later in the season, we can have him for 3+ years at a near league minumum salary, and 3 more years at arbitration value. He'd likely be eligible for FA following the 2011 season, and you'd get 6 and a half years of service out of him. Do you have a link to that website that fully explains arbitration? Someone posted it on here but I can't remember who.

Diamondbacks @ Sox Spring training game
Our San Fran pitchers Hermanson and Walker have quietly thrown 7 scoreless innings each.

Hawk
Even though Hawk is a huge homer, I enjoy listening to someone who gets as genuinely excited as I do when the Sox do well.

Borchard to Nationals?
Joe's stock is way too low right now. If he does excel at AAA, maybe we can get something better for him come summertime.
