Keep him.....for now. Since he'll be looking for the big bucks next year elsewhere, his numbers should be very good in '06. Milk him dry for a few months, then trade him at the deadline. At that point, every team on the cusp of a WC spot will be desperate for an arm. Trade him for whatever we might need at that time. We'll have enough starting pitching without him in the 2nd half.

I've been to Cali. a few times before, these are some random observations about my last 3 weeks there. The Mexican food there is very dissapointing. From the one dollar taco stand to the $200.00 per person restaurant, all average at best. Isn't the population of Cali. like 52% Mexican? The two most popular activities at Joshua Tree National Park are dropping acid and dropping peyote. Rock climbing comes in at a very distant third. SoCal young people really, really love SoCal and love to tell you about it. Just like at every other US/Mexico border point, you can get from Tijuana to SD by simply saying you're a US citizen. They didn't ask me for a passport or any identification....and I'm BROWN. SD is the quietest mid size city I've ever been to, dead silent. The famous 'Hollywood' sign in the hills originally read 'Hollywoodland'. Every car follows the one in front of it extremely close on the freeways.

I think Jon wants out, he's never really seemed overly excited about being here. Then again, I'm only going on the bits and pieces we see or read in the media. Right after they won the WS, Gail Fischer (is that her name?) told him winning the WS had to be the biggest moment of his life. He kind of hesitated and didn't agree with her and she bailed him out by saying: "Well, it has to be ONE of the biggest moments in your life". His reaction kind of stayed with me. I've been otta touch. Someone asked about Pod's health and I have the same concern about Hermy. What EXACTLY was his back injury last year and what is the update for 06? With Marte and Viz being gone, I'm sure K Dubs has a plan and I'm wondering if it includes Hermy.

K Dubs has gotten rid of players who IMO were expendable, or the least useful and in the process made the 06 team better.

If you guys only know his stuff from movies and seeing him on a few talk shows, it doesn't at all represent his comedic genius. See if you can find some of his really early stuff on wax, you might even find it on CD. FUNNIEST MAN EVER. RIP.
