If a FA didn't want to come to my team because of what some drunk, f***ball is doing in the stands, then I'd consider myself lucky that he turned me down.

My reaction is that some of these teams that are 5 or 6 games out and supposedly still in it are fooling themselves. Battling with 5 other teams for one WC slot is a tough climb. I think deep down they know it, but are really afraid of the bad PR that would come from a white flag sale. From a Sox fan perspective, it woulda been nice for teams to unload about 4 players to us this year. Overall though, I'm not a fan of the 'rent a ring' approach. You should have to dance with the girl you brought to the party
