  1. Chicks dig Crede. He's got that 'Aw shucks ma'am, little-leaguer- paper boy, All American-boy next door look' about him.
  2. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Why would this be...if you are a season ticket holder...than you have tickets. What am I missing here? Or is that for partial season ticket holders? Either way, why not open it up to everyone. I'd go to a game or two. I wonder if every seat is sold? If not, I agree, why not open it up to the public?
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Rape does not always produce defensive evidence. More often than it does actually. Interesting and depressing.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Which is not at all 100% accurate. That type of evidence can be manufactured, or the result of consentual sex with a large partner, or rough sex. I would imagine they check for signs beyond the obvious places too. Wrists and hands would be good places to look.
  5. wow, great time to be in that region.
  6. I assume that in order for her claim to have gotten this far, there must have been a medical exam to determine that sex had occured, right? Her husband said that 'something did happen' and that the full story hasn't been told. Here is my guess: Maybe wifie was into some extra marital situations with these 2 guys, had to cover it up somehow and cried rape.
  7. Good for her, I hope she takes her millions, says F-you to the music industry and moves her family to an island somewhere.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Yea, I knew that. And for moms & dads, ring bearer, flower girl, and officiants also. see, I didn't know any of that, so I was like 'whoa, we didn't budget for all of that.' AND I didn't know that everyone and I mean everyone gets a tip. Limo drivers, DJ, musicians, flower arrangers, priest.....etc.
  9. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) i was actually going to post something similar to this later in the month... last month for my birthday, my soon to be wife, got me one of those Sox Ultimate Fan Experience packages. on April 29th, (Maggs first game vs the Sox) I get to bum around on the field during batting practice and then get to sit-down with one of (4) sox players, (yet to be determined), for 30 minutes to chat and get autographs signed. pretty sweet! so, what do you plan to say to Shingo and Gooch?
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Most of our married friends have been married 10 to 15+ years... and the ones we know married less than that haven't asked. Is this something fairly new..?? I think so, all our friends have been married in the last 8 years or so. I also didn't know that the groom buys gifts for all his groomsmen and the bride for the bridesmaids, did you know that?
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Strangely.. no other married people have asked us this.. wow, ALL of our married friends who had exchanged gifts asked us.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Both of us agreed that it is just another commericalization of marriage. It's crap, and mostly just to get you to spend more money you don't need to. We just saved the money we would have spent and had more fun on our honeymoon. I agree and people who bought each other wedding gifts are the worst about putting pressure on you. It's like 'we got screwed into buying a dumb gift, so should everyone'.
  13. For my B-Day last year, my wife had a custom Sox cake made for me in the shape of a cap. It's the retro, red, white and blue cap. It was awesome, tasted like crap, but looked awesome.
  14. We wanted to pay for half of our wedding, so we were broke and agreed not to buy each other gifts.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. For starters.. housing has gone down the past 2 years. By your logic.. those that don't get raises at all would be living in boxes on lower Wacker which is not true. Wow, that's what my logic means, huh? Interesting.

    QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) Good point. And you always look straight ahead and stare at the wall. LOL ..........and you rarely talk and if you do it's at the sink, NEVER at the urinal stalls.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) And some Walgreens. The schedules are nowhere near me. Every previous year, they've been everywhere, they were even malied to me. No biggie, just wondering if anyone else was having the same experience.
  18. Usually I go to a restaurant and pay $50.00 to eat rabbit.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) chisox.com Thx, I just e-mailed him, let's see what happens.
  20. Hard times, hard market, everyone is pinching pennies.
  21. Unless you get more than 5%, you're really not getting jack when you consider the cost of living goes up by like 3-4% every year if I'm not mistaken. So, sure you might get a 4% increase, but if everything is 4% more expensive this year than last, you broke even.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) I emailed Brooks, and he forwarded it on. [email protected] I assume?
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Email the team. They are awesome about anykind of a request. As a matter of a fact, a good Sox story from just recently... when we went to openning day, we stayed out in at the tailgates until about 45 minutes or so before the game started. We entered the park through the entrance closest to the Bullpen Sports Bar, where they were out of the magnetic schedules. A couple of days later I emailed the team to find out if it was still possible to order one. I got back a reply very quickly asking for my address, from Brooks executive secretary. Within two days of me sending them my address, I had two magnetic schedules. The PR department is just incredible now. to all of you guys. What's the specific e-mail to use? I'd go on the official site and look for it myself, but for some reason it takes FOREVER for me to get on there from here.
  24. Drive to 'China Town' early and park on the street for free. Jump on the red line at 22nd street, go 1 stop south to the park. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone.
