I hope pauly takes a few days off. Hes been terrible lately. Gload add a lot of flexibility to our lineup and every time hes in there he makes something happen to help the team. Our two victories thes last few weeks, Gload has had a hand in both. Couple sac bunts against texas and ofcourse last night

This team does not need another reliever, especially if it means trading fields. I guess it wouldnt hurt having a little more help but IMO not at that price tag.Fields is a blue chip prospect who has potential to start everyday. Who knows whats gonna happen with joe. You saw what our bullpen can do last night if our starters can give us quality outings and hand the ball to cotts,MacD, Thornton,Jenks. The question here is our starting pitching. Who cares if our bullpen is the best in the league. It doesnt matter if our starters cant get the ball to them in good situations. Buerhle is awful, Vaz blows until ozzie knows how to use him, and Garcia still scares me cuz he lost 5 mph on his fastball. The upgrade i can see ( which has been stated numerous times) is moving mccarthy into the rotation and vaz to the pen becuase he can give us a couple solid innings before he breaks down. Plus im apprehensive to make this move especially with linebrinks strugles right recently. Seems like pads Gm knows something we dont. ie: Mike Sirotka for Boomer Wells

I hope ozzie continues to play gload. I would love to see him in there tomorrow because he deserves the start and it wont hurt to give pauly a day off to recover and somehow find his stroke

not convinced either. Left 9 on base. 0 fer from dye, crede, konerko until he got a bruise and had to come out. Cant count on ross gload grand slams in the 9th every game

286 BA, 397 OBP, in the playoffs. Not great but very serviceable. Not to mention one of the biggest home runs in white sox history. Pods led us to our 1st world series title in 88 years as our lead off man and I recognize the fact hes not the best lead off man in the world, but for right now he is playing well enough to deserve some respect from the fans. He is an integral aspect of team chemistry and we have a few glaring needs to improve on. If we are gonna rip Pods then lets rip Mark Buehrle, Fraddy Garcia and Jon Garland. Should we get rid of them? I think not

Well looks like I stumped ya on my question.....If no one can point out where teh sox are better than the twins then why do u think we have such a good shot...."Cuz they play a weaker schedule"....ya maybe we can sneak into the playoffs and get spanked like we did in 2000....I dont wanna sneak into the playoffs and maybe get hot....I wanna f***in win this thing outright...not becuz the twins f***ed up but cuz we played good baseball and derserve to be there

I heard the mariners preferred Borchard over Reed in the Garcia deal...Maybe its just me but i dont see borchard panning out and i wish we still had reed....BTW aaron miles is batting .308

That still doesnt answer my question, but I will answer yours....I have been a sox fan all my life..I go to my fair share of games during the summer when i can .....I even went when they were s***ty and no one was at the games....I root for them in times of bad and good....Just becuz u sit here on this board and spout out all this optimism doesnt make u more of a fan than me...I was raised as a sox fan and will always be a sox fan....It hurts me deeply to see them playing like this...Even our own manager wishes we played with some heart and intensity...I thought when i joined this site i would be accompanied by fans who thought like me about the team.....I will have optimism when there is a time to have it...and i will also voice my frustrations when i have them....If u dont like it then dont respond to them...but i know there are some fans on this site that feel the same way and like to vent to eachother about it.

And no one has answered my question yet....Where are the white sox better than the twins?

Well Hurt, these are two different ball clubs compared to a month ago....Like i said last night....WE had thomas and Uribe was actually hitting....And they were without the heart and soul of their team, catalyst and sox killer...shannon stewart....and may I also point out the are without their starting catcher in Joe Mauer and they atill whoopped us this week

I was not comparing the sox to the expos....I was making my point that a knowledgeable fan can differentiate between a bad club and a good one....Like im sure expo fans can against the yankees....And its very evident that the Sox are not as good as the twins.....From the starting lineups to the bullpen and to the closer.....Can anyone tell me where the white sox are better than the twins?

Never said I like minnesota. I just consider myself a knowledgeable baseball fan who can differentiate between a good ball club and a bad on ...Even if my team is on the short end of the stick.....Do u think expo fans believe they are better than the New York Yankees...Its common sense....We all have it....maybe you should utilize it once in awhile...

All you optimists out there can you please give me something to justify your false hope besides, "theres still time left" or "we dont have frank or mags" how many more games do we have to piss away before you stop using these battle cries...Minnesota is a better team and they obviously want it more than us

So losses like these last night and tonight dont mean as much as they do at the end of the season? I dont care how much time is left in the season, we need to win these big games. Losses like these add up at the end of the year. Ya minny is going to cleveland which is tough for them. However if they sweep the sox, this could be just the catalyst they need to go on a big win streak. And if we take this negative momentum to detroit we could easily be 7 back at the end of the week. Thats why series against minnesota are huge no matter when they are, cuz they set the tone for a few weeks.
