  1. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 09:04 PM) Millions is a punk. Pretending to have a work ethic this spring is nice and all, but I look forward to adding the Soxtalk community to the long list of disappointed, past-believers in this kid. Would a punk give Dunn his number ?
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) Milledge may have just won the battle with that gapper... They're both playing good tonight. Lilli a couple of hits including a HR and SB and I think a diving catch. Milledge. 2 run double and guns a guy out at home. Morel also 2/2 . Got the spring average up to .310.
  3. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) I'm watching online but listening to the radio stream. Did the give the CF an error on Beckham's 3B? Where are you watching online ? I didn't see it listed as being broadcast except on radio according to MLB.com
  4. I wonder if Omar razzes Dunn about having more HR this spring.
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) Welcome to January! lol. Where is this AJ one? I haven't seen it. EDIT: Seriously. I've googled this and looked for it on the Sox website. Can't find it. I've seen the AJ one quite a bit on Comcast Chicago station but can't recall seeing the other one.
  6. Game over Sox lose 9-5. Ex USA Olympian Gookin Dawkins hit a HR in the 9th for the Sox making him 2/2 this spring, both HR's.
  7. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 01:18 PM) What's so wrong about taking your helmet off after hitting a home run? In the world of baseball anything out of the ordinary is frowned upon as hotdogging it. Ken Griffey Jr, went through the same thing because he wore his hat backwards.
  8. Ozzie having fun batting Alexei cleanup.
  9. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 11:04 AM) This looks like the sunday lineup. :-/ The Sunday lineup will never look this bad during the season. Milledge and Lillibridge fighting it out for that last spot though the competition at this point isn't even close.
  10. Quentin with a 3/3 night after going 4/4 a few days ago. BA over .320 now. Rios with his 4th HR and 14 RBI and near .300 avg. for the spring. Alexei has cooled off perhaps preparing for his usual slump to start the season.
  11. Quentin will be TCQ again and will be moved to 3rd in the batting order while Dunn gets moved to 5th and becomes the new Soxtalk whipping boy for his K's. Peavy will tear his rotator cuff before the All-star break. Pierre and Beckham both hit .300 giving TCQ, Paulie and Dunn all chances for 100 RBI seasons. Milledge will be the Sox pinch hitter extraordinaire.
  12. Kind of looks like Jerry Reuss to me since Reuss was blonde and now white hair like on the t shirt and a "stache" just like that.
  13. Ozzie mentioned Humber, Marquez or Pena for taking his place during today's game.
  14. Konerko and Rios with RBI doubles. Quention with an RBI hit. Pierre with a steal. Quentin caught stealing. 3-0 Sox.
  15. Aussie Shane Lindsay roughed up for 3 runs by Rockies in an inning. 8-6 Sox still lead end of 7.
  16. Crain and Sale both worked out of bases loaded jams in consecutive innings.
  17. Milledge 3/4 2 HR 3 rbi .324 Avg. Konerko 3/4 2 doubles Josh Kinney 2.0 more scoreless innings ERA 1.29 Sox ahead 8-3 after 6 vs. Colorado
  18. Let's see if Teahen can get through the game without an error.
  19. Saw a nickname for Viceido that I liked probably because it involves an old song back when there were actual rock stars. Saw it here http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/white-sox-observer/ . The author called him Jackin' Dayan like the song Jack and Diane by John Cougar Mellencamp.
  20. I'm in the " if it ain't broke don't fix" it camp. Thorton in 8th ,Sale in 9th. Not 100% sure of that opinion though. I can see the Sox giving closing opportunities to a 4 man committee of Thorton, Sale, Santos and Crain depending who 's coming up or who is freshest.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) As I recall, he's ended the previous two seasons with a sore hip. What could be causing that? He's a dancing machine.
  22. QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Feb 27, 2011 -> 10:06 PM) Going to miss this thread. Probably the most that I have ever posted on any thread since I joined 7 years ago. Who knows?.....Maybe someday I'll finally make it to post #1000. Thanks Knightni. It was fun doing the digging for some classic Sox photos these last couple of weeks! Hey now I'm the one who suggested using Sox players numbers though I crapped out once we got to about 4 . Somehow my pictures files became paint instead of .jpg . Still haven't got it back right.
  23. Jake extended White Sox starters hitless innings streak to 10.
