I didn't want to see Vargas moved off 3rd because he started hitting playing there. Superstition more than anything but not broken don't fix it. Sox like more LH bats so Rojas got the nod at 3rd instead of 1st and replaced 2 RH bats at 1st with 2 different RH bats that a few of us speculated ,before the season, would probably get some play there .

I put you in charge of a good month of May. So far 9-12 . 7 more games in May with 2 more against Tx. in Chicago then on the road to finish the month with 3 in NY vs the Mets and 2 in Baltimore against the O's . If we win the series against the Rangers, get 1 of the 3 vs the Mets and split with the Os to finish the month 3 out of 7 ,the final May record will be 12 -16 . Not too bad considering the Sox got crushed in KC and Wrigley. Keep up the good work ! Of course they could lose 7 in a row but let's not think about that. 😋

Fuller said the same thing about Robert that I just said in the Robert trade value thread a day or 2 ago after looking at the new statcast data. His timing is off. The question is can he get his timing back while still taking a lot of walks ? I'm thinking that will be difficult in the near term.

What ? No. Vargas every day 3rd. Sosa almost every day 2nd. Rojas bench fill in at 3rd and 2nd. I know he'll play more than I want since Getz has hopes of trading him. I have no idea how they divvy up the OF since it's Beni, Tauchman ,Slater ( aka Slayer typoed), Palacio , Taylor. You didn't mention Taylor .He's still there right ? Guess that's why you said Beni DH. Tauchman doesn't seem entirely healthy, maybe he DHs some and Palacio is strong side platoon OF. Taylor reduced to PR spot starts all over and random PH if you want your PH to bunt.

Lee has power .I think he has decent value. Not outstanding but more than Thaiss which is why I'd rather see Thaiss traded . Some teams trust a veteran catcher more who can call a good game better than the inexperienced Lee.

And Lee can run pretty good too.

That would make sense if JR didn't approve of that contract too. Maybe he even insisted on it .Maybe Vaughn golfs with JRs sons.

Plenty here were pleased that at 1st it appeared he could play LF I got in lots of arguments round here back then arguing against Vaughn in the OF and when he was scuffling at the plate. I still get in lots of arguments but not about Vaughn.
