I am not sure if this move is more than filling in the AAA roster. He is hitting .263 with five doubles but strikes out a lot and shows no SB ability and has no homers. He has been up for short stints before. He is not better than Engel. We also have an inured OFer coming off the d/l soon. Double checking his MILB stats shows a bit better prospect though

Lucas has impressed And one good argue has outpitched Keuchel except for one bad pitch. With only 74 pitches he might go at least 8 innings

Keuchel just keeps getting those ground ball outs. Has the Astros outfield even had a fly ball out?

Regardless of who is batting it seems that the Sox usually strike out when there is one out and a runner at third.

There will be some roster moves at the All-Star break that is my prediction.

He is slumping because of his injury. These players are not machines.

The sky must be falling. Abreu is playing hurt. He probably should be in the d/l. His feet and ankles are banged up. Watch his at bats and you can see how uncomfortable he is swinging the bat. You are only hitting with your arms if you can’t get the feet planted and generate power with the lower body/legs. This idea that a contract signing of Abreu didn’t work out because he is slumping caused by his physical injury then you are simply not living in reality

That’s right. I think his hitting woes right now are physical issues with his ankles and feet. You can’t hit with authority if you can’t get planted firmly and generate power from the lower half of your body. Watch him bat and you can tell he is very uncomfortable. He just wants to play so badly that he won’t take himself out of the lineup
