  1. Last night when I had checked the Sox had a 3-1 lead. Then I saw the final score on MLB Network. 10-4 in 10 innings! As they sasid the flood gates opened. Shades of last season when the bullpen struggled. I knew the hate mail was coming and maybe it is deserved but I am going to wait for awhile and hope this is an aberration. Let's go get em tonight Sox
  2. Gameday pops up with these little in game observations. When Ramirez was up it said the home plate ump was giving a generous plate call to the Orioles pitcher
  3. Konerko with a two run double. You don't try and throw a fastball past Paulie!
  4. Dunn k's after getting a 3-0 count. What can you say?
  5. Ohman did good with two K's to end the inning. Humber k'd his first guy so that takes care of the side on k's. That's alot of K's. OK?
  6. It seems Robin really believes in the matchups. Ohman in to pitch to the lefty
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:44 AM) Humber coming back out? Huh? That was my question too
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:41 AM) Roger Bossard-induced single for Alexei. Now a blast? Or not. I guess it's NOT
  9. I just logged on and have only gameday. Seems Humber is battling. But over 100 pitches through 5 innings is rough.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) I don't mean to argue, but I think his primary mistake is that he misread the ball badly. The wind didn't help, but he broke way back on a ball that Laird didn't hit well at all. Whether he could have caught it without the wind, I don't know, but his main problem was the misread. This is what I saw plus Hawk and Stone said he misplayed it. Yes, the wind did play a factor though
  11. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) Very windy tonight I would assume. Temp will be down and that weather pattern may still be haunting the midwest
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) The funny part is that if it were up to the majority of Soxtalk, Lillibridge would have been cut before last season ever happened. I think your are right about that. A lot of people that he would not produce. I was not amongst that group.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) That very situation came up with Lillibridge last year when Brent was as hot as any hitter in the AL but Ozzie still went with Dunn, to the consternation of 95% of SoxTalk. I think Greg and Rongey were the only ones still defending the decision at that point in the season. all decisions are open for counter-opinions.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) Can Flowers play 1B? If so, I like the idea of using him late in games that Dunn is playing first. Could stun an opposing manager who brings in LHP to face Dunn The Sox are not apt to pinch hit for Dunn regardless of the match up. If they did they may as well say they are going to platoon him
  15. I am waiting for the post that says we lkost and then wait for the hate. It ain't coming from me though. They battled and that's all you can ask for and 2 out of three against the Tigers is good
  16. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) This is the free game of the day on MLB.TV for the out of towners too cheap to pay for it Not cheap just thrifty But it is on WGN-A today so I'll be there
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 11:01 PM) Now now... now premature sweep-ualation allwed. I can't hold back though
  18. Sunday on WGN and I believe Sale is pitching. I will see you folks behind the big screen Let's go for the sweep if you have no objections
  19. weak grounder back to the pitcher and Sox win! I luv that Matt Thornton
  20. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 11:53 PM) Beckham has so much range at 2nd its ridiculous He plays a great 2B for sure.
  21. High heat from Matt and all the Tigers can do is pop up
