  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:37 AM) Will Adam Dunn get a hit off a lefty? I may be wrong but didn't his homer in Texas come off a lefty?
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:31 AM) Hector Santiago. And he's gonna get coffee. Cause coffee's for closers. I like coffeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:33 AM) Another solid shot down the rf line for morel, but foul. I am thinking though that both Morel and Beckham need some hitting coach help. Kind of embarassing
  4. Just got home and checking MLB Game day. Nice to see two homers in the1st. I wonder what we might expect from De Aza this year? Viciedo with no K's a walk and two hiys is good
  5. Sox relief pitchers looked good in the Texas series. Sox certainly competed in two of the three. Gavin Floyd showed what happens we he doesn't have the control to set up all his piotches. I was a bit surprsed with allowing three homes though.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) Morel gets to spend another day thinkign about going hitless in the first series. Sigh. It's hard to always support line up decisions, but from what I have seen from Ventura he wants to get his subs in there quickly and not have them sitting around for days
  7. ESPN Sunday night game tonight. See you all behind the big screen
  8. Watched the game on WGN. I thought Jake did a good job battlig when he didn't have great control and then he came back to do pretty decent for his last three innings. Ventura left Thornton in to get out of the bases loaded jam and Santiago looked good. Alex Rios was the man last night!
  9. QUOTE (YASNY @ Apr 8, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) Best case scenario is that Dunn, Rios and Peavy are the top 3 in the vote, regardless of who wins it. I like the way you think!
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:39 PM) Yup, 13 foot longer than Dunn's. I saw Dunn's homer on TV watching the game yesterday and even the Ranger announcers were impressed and said that homer could have gone farther if not stopped by the upper deck. It might have been mammoth and 441 ain't bad
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) I've sat out there before. That is about as far as the party deck in CF is in USCF. Dunns was a man's shot. \ A real man too
  12. We were mostly competitive.. for the most part... but dagummit we lost
  13. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 12:34 PM) I thought it was nice that we closed our schools today for the opener. YES! That must be the reason
  14. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) I'm just not feeling any excitement for this season. MB to me was the best opening day pitcher. He always seemed like he was having as much fun as the fans. I have been watching him start for Miami today. He had a pick off already but was trailing 1-0
  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) i dunno man. Robin was pretty good lookin' back in his 46 year old pitcher stomping days. Even with big lumps on his head
  16. Thanks for clearing that up. I salute dirtbags and our friend from Texas
  17. Thanks to night for doing the PTC again: My choice is Dunn
  18. Ozzie may be in Miami now, but will always be identified with the Sox. I would lean more towards the Big Hurt or Paulie now though the more I think about it
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) lol wut? That's what I want to know about it too.
  20. QUOTE (BurlyMan56 @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 02:13 AM) just moved down here from Chicago two weeks ago. Going to the saturday/sunday games...Hope Peavy and his teammates play like a bunch of dirt bags! I take it you have changed allegiances?
  21. The #2 hitter is supposed to make contact and move the runners along. Morel can do that I think and I know AJP can. You don't want someone who strikes out a lot. I have a feeling we will see Morel and AJ alternate
