  1. Walk to Castro and no out. This may be what we need. Liriano is probbaly getting by with gallons of adrenaline pumping and that walk and about 100 pitches has done him in
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:57 AM) I think Castro has the best chance of ending this, although I seem to recall Rios either broke up Romero's no-no last year or ended his shutout with a homer. Can't remember which. Maybe he can do that again too. Cuz, seriously, how sweet would back to back jacks be? Almost as sweet as honey, which is almost as sweet as a BJ from Meagan Good Interesting
  3. My guess at this point MLB Network and ESPN are switching to this game becasue of the no-hit bid. I am too embarassed to leave the computer and watch TV with the family
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:53 AM) And didn't even require Jenks to do it! I heard that the Jenks experimewnt in Boston isn't to good either
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:52 AM) Yes, and could easily wind up being pink slip day My guess is we won't see that until the all-star break. In the meantime we suffer
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:50 AM) Well, this s***'s gonna happen. After seeing those last two plays, it's Liriano's night. I can't see em. Were they good defensive playes?
  7. This is not looking promising at all. Pop up machines here. I can just hear Hawk, "he was just under that one" or "he just missed that one" or "got his pitch and couldn't do anything with it"
  8. Dunn let a fastbal go and then swings at aslider. I think he might have been able to hit that fastball
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:45 AM) That was a weak ground ball, but damn Alexei is good. He barely moved to get that. Pretty sure the last White Sox shortstop would have had to dive to get to that and almost certainly would have come up short. He has shown lots of defensive talent for sure
  10. Our so called murderer's row is coming up next in the 7th
  11. I will whisper to Liriano "you have ano-hitter Frank so keep that in your head"
  12. We seem to have Edwin Jax straightened out and still no offesne to support him or our other pitchers. The only one seems to be Konero (in past games)
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:38 AM) Sweet, Alexei chases the same 3-2 pitch that Beckham did. And shack, just trust me...Liriano has nothing on these pitches. Are we that bad then? I admit I watched a game recently where it just seemed they had no energy at all. No drive.
  14. QUOTE (Real @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:32 AM) Just tip your cap! I refuse to tip my cap to a Twinkie!
  15. Just checking inand see on gameday that Kubel homered for the games only run. This seems to be the common thread in our games. We pitch pretty good but our guys give up that long ball. Now on the other hand we face pitchers who have struggled and make them look like Cy Yound
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:29 AM) This is honestly the worst Twins lineup I've seen in over 10 years. But it appears so far it is good enough to beat us. Liriano came in to this game with an ERA over 9 and he has us no-hit through 5. What's up with that?
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 4, 2011 -> 01:27 AM) After tommorrows game they head to spacious Safeco Field and face some pitcher named Felix on Friday I will be at SAFECO and not real happy we will be facing Felix
  18. Technically the Twins are the bottom dwellers by a half game and let's keep it that way
  19. I don't believe it. That's like saying nobody liked Carlton Fisk.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2011 -> 05:07 AM) I do agree with you on the eye test part. Sale and Thornton do not pass the eye test at this point of the season. It's no fun watching either guy pitch. How bout they take the approach of throwing strikes maybe? Maybe rushing Sale was a mistake, or they should get another lefty reliever and groom Sale now to be a starter? Sales has been less than what I was expecting this year and Thornton too for that matter. But, Matt is the veteran
  21. It s good to know a columnist sees what we have been saying for a few weeks now
  22. Bases packed with Sox for Konerko. Make them pay Paulie!
