  1. I considered going to Direct TV, but these are not good stories to hear. Answer me this though. Do you get the various FOX channels? If they have FOX-Chicago or something can you get a Sox game on Saturday on one of those FOX feeds?
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) Not in NY. ESPN games involving the Yankees are never on here either because YES has exclusive rights within the region. I'm sure it was on where you are. Thanks. I sure hope so as I want to watch that game regardless if I know the outcome. There was some real excitement in the 8th and 9th innings for sure
  3. If Mark is sharp, and he should be considering he will want to show the youngsters he still has it, he can neutralize that Yankee steam engine. Make us proud MB and Sox team
  4. I voted for other casue it ain't fair you don't let us pick em all. However, to spotlight Lilli I think his two in a row have to rank right up there as tops
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) Ha me too. And to make it even worse I had to watch it in Low def last night. MLB network had the Red Sox game instead, YES had an EPL game and it was being broadcast by my8 which doesn't have an HD channel. And being in NY my mlb.tv was blacked out. Annoying. Are you telling me that MLB Network didn't broadcast the Sox game on Tuesday? I am out of twon and put the game on the DVR record list. Now I won't see it? Tell me it ain't so Joe!
  6. I have always been a Lillibridge fan. The guy gives it his all every game he plays. You have to love it when people in the position Lilli is in, and others too, suceed. I am real happy for Lilli and the team.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:38 AM) like it matters I know, but Ris did it and it worked so I just thought...
  8. Dun with a ground out to the mound. Is it my imagination or has he done that several times this young season?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:29 AM) DON'T STEAL You know he will try
  10. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:25 AM) To Brett f***ing Gardner? C'mon G, get the f***ing lefties out. And he is hitting lower than most of the lower sox averages
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:22 AM) We would have all swung 3 seconds before the ball got there That was the take of the ESPN guys last night. Ourt hitters just aren't geared up for the fastball and are all late in their swings
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) Morel just missed that one. Good pitch recognition. Is this the ole hawkeroo speaking?
  13. We put togeterh a single, SB and another single for a run. At least it's 1-1
  14. That might be a good sign from Rios. Sharply hit ball but right up the middle
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:09 AM) Eric Chavez was a minor league invitee for the yanks. Pretty decent gamble. Yes he was. I can't believe Oakland gave up on that talent. I guess they just didn't want to spend anymore money on an oft injured thirdbaseman
  16. Yanks with one hit and that's the big bomb. That is an achilles heal for our guys. They are around the plate and if the pitch is fat it goes a long ways. I would like to see our big bombers get into a couple for a change. These singles spaced an inning or three apart just ain't doing it for me
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:06 AM) I really question why Morel is still playing in games. He's providing nothing offensively, and we can't sacrifice at bats just for someone who's supposed to be a good fielder. Is Joe Crede still available?
  18. Ramirez singles and then is caught stealing 2nd. We sure do have alot of guys caught stealing it seems
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) He is sounding more and more like Gavin Floyd, both in stuff and mental make up. When his curve in on he is as good as Floyd. Nothing wrong with that either
  20. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 06:31 PM) Damn - this actually might be a reality or close to it... off by maybe a week. I am hoping that Peavy is back May 8th in Seattle where I will be watching in person
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) I can read the first part, but the second part is garbage. A guy is lazy because he goes into long slumps? There are players that have year long slumps. Plus "watching a game" can only tell you so much about a guys work ethic. That stuff is doing mostly in the weightroom, the videoroom, and on the practice fields. We don't really see any of that stuff. Judging it by a slump is just crazy if you ask me. Agree

    Dunn

QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 05:45 PM) Regardless of results, I always loved watching Frank Thomas at the plate. Dunn drives me nuts with his movements. The bat here, then there, then this and then that. /back to something worthwhile Any poster is sure to find something that doesn't set well with them and you will find someone who will say something for Dunn and/or aganst the Big Hurt. Dunn is just doing his thing which gets him loose at the plate and maybe helps his timing. He is a bit off right now but coming around.
  23. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 05:39 AM) Jesus were the ESPN guys gushing over Rios tonight saying he really doesn't know how good he really is. In all actuality it's true. He's got all the tools...it'd be nice if he'd get his head outta his arse and put it together. You are correct and Rios did get hit a real liner to left for a hit. I am expecting him and otehrs to pulll out of this soon
  24. 2 in a row would be nice for a change. Go gbet em Floyd
