  1. Watched the game on WGN today. What a pathetic offensive show AGAIN! Only good thing I saw other than Danks pitched well was the Thornton was loking more like his old self. That could be a good sign.
  2. Something that I mentioned last year and here is is aagin. It seems that way to often when Sox pitchers get in trouble they give up 3-4-5 runs in an inning. They can never shake it off and get out of it with giving up like one run What's up with that?
  3. Hitting slump continues. Runner on 2nd with one out and we can't get him in
  4. Morel does the job with a hit and the no-hitter is over
  5. Adsmittedly tyhis offesnive and defensive display are becoming very hard to take. I think when Penny was coming nto this game his ERA was aropund 8 plus and now he has a no-hitter throuhg five. This is just terrible baseball
  6. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Apr 23, 2011 -> 04:31 PM) Yankee games... the one time of the year I have to watch the games on YES Network. Man I hate Michael Kay. And I don't have cable (just mlb.tv) so this means I'm either going to have to go out to a bar and listen to idiot Yankee fans or to a Yankee friend's house. There is nothing worse than having to listen to the other teams announcers
  7. Ok for the out of town folks I see that the Sox on featured on ESPN Monday Night baseball & MLB Network Tuesday and Thursday night playing some scrub team called the Yankmees. Let's sweep those guys including the Wednesday game we aren't on TV.
  8. Edwin wants to show the Tigers who the man is! However, I am not sure I will be getting this feed from Fox today. Probably some sucky NL game on this FOX game of the week broadcast.
  9. I don't care if we are 5 or 6 games out of 1st place this early in the season. What matters is where we are at at the EMD of the season. This is a good ballclub and similar to some past winning seasons they can turn it around and be a winner. It is hard to accept losing, but I know we will suffer through rough spots during a season. We can turn it around and will. Go Sox! Sis boom bah rah rah, etc, etc. Lighten up folks.
  10. It sure makes everyone feel better when you win one
  11. Game early, but looking much better for the Sox. if we win what is there to gripe about tonite?
  12. Morel has great upside, but Teahan is not a dud at 3B. I don't think he actually has all that much experience at 3B either as he did play the OF even for the Royals.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) We play in the AL Central. It's topsy turvy as far as the standings and as the season goes on the overachievers will falter and us underachievers will get it right
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:37 AM) they're seriously going to lose 7 straight in April what are you all complaining about-we got two more innings to score
  15. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:34 AM) Lol this one is 4/20'd LOL-maybe that's what the problem is
  16. What are you all complaining about? We got our obligatory one run for the night. Really, we got three more innings so anything can happen yet
  17. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) Unfortunately, I will not be able to go. But you will have a great time there. Saw the Sox play the M's in '07 and really enjoyed my experience. I think that we stayed at a cheap La Quinta or something up by the Space Needle and I was pleasantly surprised that the cruddy hotel offered free shuttle service to and from the game. Also, do make some time to check out the city. It'll still be a little cool in May, but a trip to Pike Place Market and dinner at Ivar's in highly recommended. Thanks for the info. I was there in 2005 and there were three guys outside SAFECO dressed up in black curly wigs, shades and SOx tatoos, etc. I got my picture with them. Cool dudes they were
  18. Numbers, numbers and more numbers ...help! I have a headache
  19. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 08:04 PM) How cool would that be Rock Have you got tickets to the games yet? I'd like to take in some ball with you. At present time I will be in the upper tier/second deck at 234 section I think it is-on Friday and behind home plate about 16 rows up on Sunday. Let me check my tickets this weekend for sure. I am not certain I will be at Saturddays game becasue of a wedding commitment I was forced to agree to, but I still might gain my freedom and go on Saturday. Seeing Peqvy on Sunday would be simply awesome. Let's hope he makes it back that day
  20. I think we can get a bit messed up relying on past years stats. Heck if we went by winning pennants and world series stats for a comparison against other winners or years we would have come away with the idea that we had no way of winning the whole thing in 2005. We are in an early season losing streak and folks need to regain some sense of sanity here. 147 games left and we are not out of it.
  21. If Peavy does make a comeback on the 8th of May as has been suggested by the Sox I will be warching in Seattle. I would love to see Jake dealing to the Mariners
