Kelly comes into the 8th after Lopez successful by shaky 7th. Of course he has no control and gives up a two run homer

Oscar Colas grounds out and then caught stealing. Send him down for more seasoning at AAA

Let’s set off our own fireworks

I would like to see Sox management recognize that pitching wins games. Let’s keep our guys on the team instead of letting them walk and then sign pitchers on the cheap who are prone to injuries or just over the hill. Just look at our history and the pitchers we let go or traded away for a hope of catching lightning in a bottle and in the meantime giving up excellent prospects

I would have expected moves wouldn’t be made until the break but maybe someone is hurt. Shaw might be returned to Charlotte?

It looks like the Sox got schooled by the A’s in the 2nd on how to score with runners on base. Plus we are back to grounding out

I would much rather see club ownership realize good pitching wins. We have good pitching and should do our best to keep them here. We gave talented players and let’s give the team the chance to compete
