  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 01:10 AM) If Nicks ankle is sore, just put BA in. Taken care of. All you have to do is ask
  2. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Damn...Gavin's lookin' good. Good movement on the fastball. Good command of the slider. Tight curve ball for strikes. When gavin has it all working he is an out machine. That curve ball is what sets up everything else though I think
  3. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 01:07 AM) CQ with RBI #100 with a double. He can sure smoke those low pitches
  4. Nice first two and half innings by the Sox
  5. Might get some of the game on XM. Let's go for another win
  6. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:40 PM) Joe Crede = my hero. You and me both
  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) Since Crede is not healthy, and may not completely be healthy ever again, its kind of a moot point I think anyone who is is jumping on this I hate Joe Creed bandwagon and saying he isn't healthy is not paying attention to medical reports. All reports were that Joe did not have a relapse of the back surgery problem. The injury was something different. We have seen Thome out with back problems, we have seen Linebrink out with back problems et al. It happens. There are some injuries/surgeries that take more time to completely heal. Joe's surgery may fit into this area. Tonight Joe made two web gem plays. Then he is criticized for not hitting. The web gems may have saved a couple runs. That's as good as two RBI's from a hitter. The hitting will come around people. I know we need to have a grand slam homer every at bat for some to support our players, but I'l settle for giving 100%.
  8. Clayton Richard did agood job. Joe Crede had two web gems featured on ESPN BBTN. Comment was: When Joe Crede is healthy he is the best thirdbaseman in the AL. The hitting will come around
  9. Bobby Jenks. That's why he is the closer
  10. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 02:17 AM) Nice to see Bobby excercise those O's demons a little...... Ditto
  11. A appreciate all the positive support given to our players. See you tomorrow night.
  12. The Sox had their chances in the 8th and 9th so let's hope Jenks doesn't fool around. 1-2-3 is what we need
  13. Looks like 5 ground outs today for AJ. Baseabll is a funny ga,e. One day you are blasting the ball and the next totally handcuffed
  14. I checked in only to find Game One was over in the blink of an eye. If you are blaming some goofy move by Ozzie you must remember he often manages with his gut instinct and heaven forbid he is expecting a bowel movement.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 07:21 PM) Not this season. Yes this season except when Crede was injured. I'll give you this much: Uribe contributed more then Crede did when Crede was on the DL. Juan did a good job in his role and I am sure he will still do a good job. I am a Uribe supporter. I just think Joe Crede brings more to the table than Juan
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) This Uribe love is spectacular. And kind of scary at the same time. Sorry, but I think you have all lost your minds. Kiss-Kiss though We are still friends
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 07:01 PM) I'll take Owens or Cook over Crede for sure (even though I hate Owens as a baseball player), at least they can give you a little something off the bench (whether it be PR or playing an OF spot) unlike Crede who would just be a waste of a roster spot right now. Let him continue his rehab for the next 6 days, he can rejoin the team when rosters expand. Obviously you are wrong about that!! Crede would make sense for this reason IMO. He was there at the beginning and contributed to the Sox success. He is the regular and not a fill in like the others would be. They can join the team in Septembr and Crede deserves the call up as he is the regular and the roster player
  18. Nice to get some national attention. It also looks as if WGN will be showing the Sox Saturday night game. I got to see 4 Sox games on TV this last week and all were winners
  19. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 03:41 AM) Your post looked lonely all by itself so yea let's build some mo and win 2 in MD. Thanks to you and two other posters for your kind thoughts and support
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 03:35 AM) Owens could always come up. That was mentioned as a possibility since JO has stolen like 26 bases or so at Charlotte and is hitting better. But, I still like Crede now with JO as a Sept. call up
  21. I agree that CQ is one that we would like to see stay with the Sox, but I am not so sure we start handing out major dollars on a new contract just yet. It is a real hard one to call for sure. Alexei was signed for four years I believe and I think Danks and Floyd are probably getting major league minimums or a bit higher. Remember baseball is a big business now and businesses aren't going to be handing out extra money until they absolutely have to do so
  22. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) whats the word on linebrinks timetable? what the hell is he even injured with anyways? Injury is some kind of a muscle issue in his back or back shoulder of his throwing side I guess. Feling better finally according to Linebrink. He has been throwing off the mound for awhile now
  23. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) No rush to get Crede back. Alexei played 3rd after Konerko pinch hit for Uribe today . He made a nice play ranging far to his left , picked the ball in front of Cabrera and fired a strike to first . Made it look routine. I saw that play and you are right it was pretty nice. Makes you feel better knowing that Uribe and Ramirez can pl;ay 3 infield positions.
  24. QUOTE (wilmot825 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 11:14 PM) How ironic is it that the run-down interference call was on A.J. and was called by Doug Eddings? Just gave me a flashback to '05 vs. the Angels. This guy must have been raised a Sox fan lol or just has a man crush on "Billy Idol." All jokes aside, what a smart play by A.J. to win the game for the Sox. I think the more we watch him, the more likeable he becomes. Gotta love A.J. No. He just calls it the way he sees it and he is always correct
