  1. We wondded that game for sure. 9-2. I like the way Russell ended that also. 2 innings and 4 k's
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:46 PM) I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about Lance's performance today. Great job Broadway. I don't think you were the only one who was worried fathom. I had my doubts after that first inning, but I thought he could do it. I like all those groundballs at Comiskey Cell
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) According to this post it's only happened 6 times in MLB history. Like I said earlier watching BBTN and Sportscenter should be a bit more fun tonight
  4. QUOTE (Maxwell @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) How did you edit this without having a stupid little "edited" thing show up? I hate that thing. That's so they can keep track of those of us who can't spull
  5. Did I just see MLB Game Day right? Uribe homers off the new relief pitcher? back-back-back-to back
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:19 PM) BACK TO BACK TO BACK JACKS! This ought to be ESPNBBTN headline stuff
  7. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:15 PM) Holy f*** a 3 hit game from Kong? What's going on here? I think Paulie is back on track. It might be a few games to prove it, but I think he has been swinging the bat much better.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:54 PM) Was there any confirmation they really did bring up Richard? They just showed Wise, Getz, and Broadway, and many thought they might have sent Wise down. I meant to ask that yesterday. I didn't find anything to indicate a roster move was made. Is Matt Thornton in fact injured as some were speculating?
  9. Konerko is on a tear now. 2 singles today and raising that average
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:16 PM) Because he sucks. Sorry! But, I disagree
  11. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) konerko just caught a linedrive, i had to rewind my PVR to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me Why?
  12. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) Thanks to SS who bobbled the ball. That does help some
  13. Unlike some I don't mind having Junior on this team, but I hope he hits more than just singles pretty soon
  14. OC makes up for the miscue with ahit to bring in a run. 2-1 after three straight singles
  15. I like the three ground ball outs though from Lance in the 2nd. There is no doubt Carrasco will be in there around the 5th or 6th though
  16. Poor beginning for Lance Broadway. But, worse for our the team captain. Well, if we had three on in the first maybe we will continue to get baserunners and eventualy drive some in. But, I do have to wonder about the Royals hitting CQ. He just got back in the line up from being banged up.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 05:26 AM) A friend heard today that the Sox don't want to start his arb clock this season. I think the only way Richard can get called up is if someone goes on the DL. There were rumblings yesterday that Matt Thornton's back is in terrible shape. If Matt is going on the DL, which is the first time I heard this story, our lefty relief is in deep doo-doo
  18. Go Lance. I will be following the action on MLB Game Day I think. I know Lance will be appreciative of that.
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 11:41 PM) Even with the injury to Longoria, the 2 will probably finish the year with a similar number of plate appearances seeing as how Alexei didn't play much for the first 2 months of the season and he bats at the bottom of the order. Longoria is sporting an .885 OPS and 22 HRs, he's also an All-Star and a GG candidate, good luck beating that. Plus he is playing for a Cinderella team and the baseball writers who vote like that stuff
  20. No rumor anymore. This thread should be merged with the one where they acknowledge his signing
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) Ozzie's comment today were pretty interesting. It sounds like he's getting pretty annoyed with the Joe Crede situation, last week Joe made it sound like he was feeling better and ready to start his rehab assignment and yet he's only appeared in half a minor league game thus far. Perhaps I misinterpreted but Jesse Rogers made it sound like Joe Crede is no longer with the Knights, he has instead gone home and is hitting tosses there. unless you heard something new Crede will be starting his rehab at Charlotte and not hitting off the tee at home. Ozzie flaps his jaws too much, if he is annoyed that is.
  22. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Wow, Ozzie's trying to make sure we don't win tonight if he's playing neither Ramirez or Quentin. You have to use your bench sometime
