I have had only one opportunity to see Jenks pitch and that was on TV. He didn't look good, but from other games I think he has alot of upside. I just think we change pitchers too often and have a solid guy only throw one inning whne 2 would work better. Anyway I think the boy will be aplus for the Sox pen.

The rationale behind changing pitchers? Cotts is solid and Jenk is still a tender little guy.

I like rumors, but figure that's all they are- interesting unfacts. I think we need the likes of a Billy Wagner, but probbaly won't see him at the price the Phillies want. Burnett is the same and I sure don't want arent-a-player.

We will make playoffs no problem at all with that. However, I also agree that we need to tighten up the ship as far as fielding and timely hitting. I hope our bullpen gets a bit more solid also.

Trade threads or not. I think that Luis Vizcaino has to go. We either dumped or sent down Shingo and Luis was not different as far as being ineffective in the clutch. It would be a plus to get another bullpen arm. A starter we don't need as bad as another quality relief pitcher. I am not just reacting to this game either. I have maintained this for quite some time.

Cliff Politte has been lights out this year, but he now has allowed 2 homers in the last few games. Makes you wonder if the pen isn't getting a bit burned out? Or was it just the luck of the draw. Bad thing about it is the fact it is happening to the best team in baseball by one of the worse.

If we trade Contreras then the only other one going should be BMac OR Marte not both. Marte has so much upside and BMAC has so much potential. You don't give up 3 good pitchers for one. Burnett has a lot going for him, but he is a .500 hurler at this point. Florida should be charged with rape of the Sox if we give them 3 for 1.

Why shouldn't we or KW or any other Sox fan NOT be happy with the team and the record we have right now? There might always be a player out there that could help us get even better, but at what cost?

I have to believe it was meant for a good laugh. Otherwise I vote that we hunt this guy down and pulverize him. :rolly
