Only LeBron can pull off the kind of thing he pulled off. Derrick isn't that good. He's great, but he isn't so good that the only way not to win titles is to put absolutely horrible teams around him. If you flipped LeBron and Derrick on this team, the Bulls are the ones winning 20+ games in a row. If you want to see a comparable situation to the one he'd have if Derrick tried to push his way out, see Dwight Howard. EDIT: Also, it makes no sense why he would have suddenly realized how "bad" his team just months after signing that extension, which renders him without bargaining room

I don't see how there are any guarantees that Derrick comes back at the beginning of next year. The threshold for feeling good enough is incomprehensible for us both.

You can't skip Gavin because he has been a fine starter for years. You skip Axe not because he should be released, but because he's your worst starter.

Tough day. Here's hoping things change soon. Lots of players playing a lot differently than we expected, and not really any of them exceeding expectations short of Gillaspie (hasn't produced much) and maybe Rios, who seems to just be replicating last season.

Looks like our new GM is not looking great so far. His biggest signing is playing pretty damn poorly and his construction of the bench with these injuries is fairly puzzling. And some people thought there may have been some way to dump Dunn in the offseason... But, we've played what, 15 games? Lots of time left to forget all of this.
