  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 03:33 PM) Rose appeared to be serious right away. It was an obvious ACL/MCL injury. If ADA really had an ACL type injury from this...I'd have seen it all.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) There was a bit of a beanballish war that happened today. Gordo got his with an 0-2 pitch in the first, probably not on purpose. AJ got drilled in the back, totally on purpose. After that Zobrist had a pitch thrown behind him, with the starting pitcher Quintana ejected without a warning. The DeAza play came after all of that. No word as of yet to the extent of the injury, but it didn't appear to be serious. Derrick Rose. Never forget.
  3. You sure don't see Paulie miss that very often
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) Konerko has been cursed by not having his own personal bats make the trip from Chicago. Is this real?
  5. lol @ Billy Badass Joel Peralta's sleeves being pulled up
  6. If you make good pitches to Adam, you will almost always get him. Moreso than regular MLB players
  7. Dunn could easily bunt for a single
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) Becks got very lucky there. Yeah, more often than not that f***s us out of two outs
  9. IT'S AMAZING WHAT A BUNT WILL DO
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) Nobody will admit it, unless they're Cole Hamels or Ozzie Guillen. The Cole Hamels thing was hilarious, IMO
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:39 PM) Yeah, the throw to second from the pitcher's mound is what, 40 feet? The ball started right about at the edge of the fielder's range to catch and then ran a ton. I certainly have made my share of bad throws made worse by the tail on my ball so I can see a solid alibi here. We just won't really know unless someone admits it.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) How far from the base was he where he got drilled? It hit him more or less as his hand reached the bag. Would have been safe, but close play if throw was online.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) Any time you are throwing at a defenseless player, one who is not even going to be looking at the ball, that is dirty as hell... Certainly. Unfortunately we can't be sure whether he did do it on purpose...but Olney seems to think it is a real possibility btw, Crain has a nice changeup
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:33 PM) I'm surprised Maddon and his staff would allow something like that to happen. You don't hit somebody in a way that could put their career in jeopardy. That's dirty as hell. I think when you throw at someone in any situation, particularly on a pickoff, you don't really think it's going to hit him in the exact one spot that could hurt him worse than a bruise
  15. After this D.Rose stuff, I automatically think the worst about any knee injury
  16. The Cubans are getting f***ed in this inning
  17. Wow, surprised they had Pena in the hole like that
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) That's even bad for the world of the anonymous internet. They should make everybody print their real names and addresses and posts like that would stop. You must not read the things people post on their facebook
  19. If AJ is coordinated enough to intentionally foul pitches off in that exact direction multiple times in an at-bat, he ought to be hitting like Babe Ruth
  20. The fact that Quintana didn't hit him is the most jarring thing about it. When you're hitting someone with the baseball, I'm never going to be anything more than irritated about him getting tossed. Missing him completely before any warnings was asinine...what made that situation worse than AJ actually getting hit? Just doesn't like AJ?
  21. I don't think Wegner is favoring one team, he's just an idiot.
  22. I'd still kill for some runs right about now.
  23. I wonder if these teams will shake hands after the game.
