I just hope Gar/Pax at least made a call to Orlando. We won't know if they did if it never went anywhere, but I feel like we couldn't have in good conscience not at least checked on a price. Something tells me that if Dwight played a year in Chicago, he wouldn't want to leave anymore.

Hawkins is talented but has only had a handful of at-bats out of high school so far and they haven't been pretty. I'd put him 3 after Mitchell. Barnum to follow, then Molina, then Hernandez.

Can someone explain to me exactly what is gained by getting the TPE? How does that help us get Mayo?

WRs coach more or less openly criticized the previous management of Hester, saying they always installed a "Hester package" but never, ever used it in season. Basically said there was no effort to integrate him into the offense, which made him an average receiver (what you'd expect from a guy playing the 3rd-4th receiver spot)

Trust me -- if you pair up Rose and Bynum, soon everyone will know Bynum's name. The reason Bynum isn't as well known is because he's young, he has Kobe, Pau, Metta, etc on his team, and he hasn't been traded to Chicago yet. Getting involved with a trade that would make some see him becoming part of a "Big 2" or something like that would jettison his notoriety.

All I can say about the current healthcare system is this: My parents both in their early 60's, have no health problems or any significant past health events, but are both slightly overweight. They make just over 100,000/year over 30% of our income goes to health insurance, and it doesn't even pay for preventative care like "wellness checks," gynecologist visits, colonoscopy, etc etc
