    This blows my mind...

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 04:33 AM) I have to say, just all of the advertising you guys have over there for Fast Food is just absolutely crazy. And then you have so many people going through the drive - thru at these joints, because they're too lazy to get out of their cars just to get their food. haha never even thought of that. So many fat people would slim down just because their lazy asses would skip meals if there was no drive thru. That would be a good way to cut back.
  2. If Thome is out very long at all, (which I hope he isn't) I wouldn't mind seeing a lineup like this. Pods LF Gooch 2B Paulie 1B JD RF AJ C Crede 3B Uribe SS Anderson CF Fields DH
  3. Who released him? Why? Is this guy an asshole or something? Can he play CF defense?
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 10:35 AM) Very possible. I also think Sandy will replace Baines on the coaching staff next year. Fixed. Post-2006 + Baines =
  5. So what are the chances Oz puts in Mack next inning for BA?
  6. CHW: Garland(12-3, 4.99 ERA) NYY: Johnson(11-9, 5.11 ERA) It's time for clinch the series win! Jon it's time to eat some innings we have a tired pen. Sox it to em!
  7. Who's 1-0 in gamethread starts? Yep.
  8. Out of curiosity, how is the creator member number 127? Is member number 1 still around?
  9. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) Here's a nugget for ya: I called the Konerko grand slam. I just KNEW he was going to do it and I told everybody at the bar prior to the first pitch. And then, BAM. How weird is that? My favorite part is that, after they caught back up, AJ's on the mound with Ozzie and he says oh well, we'll just have to break their hearts again. And that's just what we did. Magical. That's funny. As Paulie walks up, he says "What are the chances he hits a bomb here." Seconds later, we're screaming "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARDDDD...YES!"
  10. I think we are in general more negative than we should be. We let losses linger and often tend to overlook our strengths and wins. Of course I don't usually feel this way, but in general we as Sox fans have a negative mentality.
  11. 7:05 PM CT CHW: Garcia(10-7, 4.87 ERA) NYY: Wang(13-4, 3.58 ERA) Time to pound some Yankee ass!
  12. Mark was screwed several times by the ump in that inning, not to mention whatever happened with the balk.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) So let's say we play GREAT against the Tigers in those 10 games and go 7-3. That means we have a 5 game defecit with them having 41 games left and us 43. I still think the odds are very low at that point. All we have to do then is outplay them by 6 games. Don't think about what they have to do, just think about what we have to do. Which is just play great, something we all know we can do.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) Detroit has to play 23-28 the rest of the way, and we have to match our win total from last year (and go 34-19). And that senario would mean we win 99 and they win 98. I'm not betting on that. If you overthink it, you're not gonna feel like it's gonna work. Just like thinking about hitting that tiny ball coming at you at 90 mph with a tiny little wooden stick sure seems like an impossible task. We have the luxury of having the ability to take away 10 of their games, which we need to take advantage of.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Best way to get the Tigers on a losing streak? Start it ourselves. It happened last year. So, we've got Buehrle against the Angels, Garcia, Garland, and Vazquez against the Yanks, and Contreras, Buehrle, and Garcia against the Tigers. Man, I wish Garcia wasn't the one pitching twice against those 2 teams. We still have a shot at this division. The odds are most definitely not with us, but we can go through this next stretch without losing more than two games, preferably sweeping Detroit, we'll be in good shape. We can win this division in those head-to-head matchups. I don't mind Garcia pitching, I don't expect him to dominate, but he'll keep us in games.
  16. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) It's his first quality start in a month and a half Hell of a start, but I'm not gonna love him cuz of 1 great start. I only love him for his money.
  17. QUOTE(stretchstretch @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) I actually thought I saw the "hammer" drop down, but Troy simple pick it up from down low and send it out to center, looked the perfect version of that pitch that Glaus just did a great job with It was just a fastball on the outside corner. Decent pitch, much better swing.
  18. It's only because he's pitching in Canada again. /green
  19. Actually. This proves nothing. Javy can only pitch in Canada. God damn is Downs' curve nasty!
  20. Keep him in. He could use the confidence of a CG.
  21. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) Yeah. NOT Garland. /green
