Has anyone here ever been infected with the malware Spy Sheriff? I've almost completely removed it, except for one minor thing. Has anyone here ever successfully removed it?

Brian is the cover story on Minor League Baseball's site. Nice to see. Other than they call him Kevin.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 17, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) Kip Wells would cream himself to have Brandon McCarthy's mental make up. Wells never had the guts to succeed in a pressure situation here, Brandon has already proved his moxy in the few starts he has had here. Wells pitched well in September of a season that was already over, Brandon's ML debut was in Wrigley against the Cubs. Now never again mention Wells and McCarthy in same sentence involving their careers. They are definitely different pitchers, and I think McCarthy should be in the league for a long while, but I've seen way too many guys get your hopes up and then slam you back to reality.

It is, I noticed the other day. At first glance I thought it was Maggs and it made no sense. Then I realized it was the gooch.
-
For the McCarthy lovers: I remember Kip Wells tearing s*** up at the end of one year... and well.. we know what ended up happening there.

I don't think that taping the kids mouth shut is right or in some rare cases safe. I think it's taken a bit overboard here though.

This makes so much more of this board make sense...

QUOTE(gosox41 @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) It's good to see the Sox address their offense, but they shouldn't ignore the pitching. Here are the biggest concerns I have in that area: 1. Health of the starters. El Duque will spend time on the DL next year at some point, I can almost guarantee it. That means McCarthy moves in the rotation. Fine. But what happens if one of the other guys goes down? Garcia had a tired arm last year and is pitching in that baseball thing in March. Buehrle has been healthy but has pitched a ton of innings. Jose needs to build off his strong second half and not have any set backs. Garland seems like them most likely guy to stay healthy. The Sox were lucky with injuries to their pitching staff last year. Hopefully it continues, but who wants to find out when it's too late (ie during the season) that the Sox need a pitcher and are SOL? One solution would be to have Cotts work on extending himself more and more. Something tells me the Sox will need more then 6 starters in 2006. I hope I'm wrong. 2. There's only one lefty in the pen. I assume this will be addressed by spring training. 3. Hermanson. If he's healthy it's huge. If not, then it's a big concern as he was a very good reliever. 4. Jenks-I think he needs to learn a third pitch. the fastball is great, but the league may adjust. His curveball is awesome, when he has control. It can't hurt to add to the arsenal. I've heard others say that Jenks fastball doesn't lack movement. He either needs to get more control of his curve or find a third pitch to continue his success. Bob Jenks has a slider that I've seen, and I've heard he has a semblance of a change up.

Seems like we have some Pip fans, so don't kill me. I never got the opportunity to watch in the dynasty days, so this is just what I've been told. Friend of mine says Pippen was definitely helped out a lot by Jordan. Says Pip looked great when the bulls were up by 20 and MJ had dropped 30-40 on the opposition, but when MJ wasn't making shots it was like Pip just turned off. I argued that didn't the bulls make the playoffs without him when he went to B-Ham? He told me that Pippen thrived around a lot of talent that was still left. I dunno.. you tell me what to think here.

Damn, no more adopt a prospect for me. You can thank me for Bobby going to the majors. Kenny took a visit to our board, saw my watchful eyes on Big Bobby, and Kenny said "We should give him a chance!" Yes, you can thank ME for the discovery of Bobby Jenks.

I dont wear gloves. (I can get twice the benefit by just sticking my hands in my pants and rubbing them around.)

Went up to Lombard at about noon, raided the half price sale at Aeropostale, bought a cd at Sam Goody, and got the hell out.

I was at the Yorktown Mall in Lombard today. Sitting there in the food court, and this fella sitting next to me looks very familiar. I can only see him from the side, but I swear I've seen this guy before. He stands up, and this guy HAS to be Carlos Lee. I'm not 100% sure, but he was sitting there with his family. If anyone has pictures of his family, that will make me sure I saw good ol' el caballo today. Thanks.

There are VERY few players that can do what he does defensively.

Why can't we have both Konerko and Thome?

And they didn't even mention how an inside pitch to Jermaine Dye in that great at bat hit his jersey. They showed a replay but didn't mention it. It clearly got into his jersey. But, like a winning team, he didn't strike out, he just made an even better play.
