White Sox may be in trouble
The starters haven't done well lately, and every team has stints during the season where they don't play well. The nice thing is, our team is so good that we aren't playing well and still winning at a championship pace. I believe that it's a safe assumption that our starters will return to form sooner rather than later, with the possible exception of Vasquez, who seems to always underachieve. (However, the Cooper fix took almost a year on Contreras, not that I advocate promoting a season of mediocrity before he does well.)

I'm only disappointed because I wanted to see Anderson rock some ass again before he serves his suspension.- The latest craze in abortion law...
A lot of pro-life supporters will say abortion is okay in cases of rape, but with our justice system it takes much longer than 9 months to prove someone was or wasn't raped. The abortion couldn't be done with proof of guilt or innocence.- Leiberman weighs run at independant
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) Here is a discussion question on that topic... Which would be more effective - creating a viable third party, or having the leaders of one party or the other drag the party back towards the middle? I think if another party was formed, eventually one party would end up falling out of favor and we'd be back to our two party system.- Today's installment of stupid, spoiled girl brought to you by.....
That's crazy, driving 40 miles south to Bloomington-Normal without asking would get my ass kicked at home. I wouldn't even think about trying to pull that kind of stunt.- Isn't technology wonderful...

I recall reading about Refrigderator Perry a couple years ago, and when he was drafted he was one of only two or three in the league that were above 300 pounds and he was encouraged to get under the 300 pound mark. Now- Hawk

I venture to say Anderson's defense is as good or better than Rowand's. The offense of course is no comparison.- Offense is not the problem

QUOTE(Jim Spencer @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) Hey, Jeff Nelson did a fine job tonight I really hope you're kidding.- For all you chicken littles out there...
I am sick and tired of watching Mackowiak cost us runs in center field on plays that should be easy for someone of his supposed ability, and very easy for Anderson. If it is behind him, Mackowiak for the most part has no chance of catching a ball and if he is forced to run a very long way he often ends up in poor position to catch the ball. He's nearing Pablo Ozuna defense out there. Anderson covers as much ground as Crash in center and sometimes appears to possibly be better, I'll let him develop in the 9 spot for that exchange on defense. - For you ISU fans...
