I've noticed in recent days that the replies in a post aren't shown completely, just all put together at the bottom to be clicked on as a link. Is there any way I can change this setting? It's driving me insane.

Rooting Level For Frank Thomas?
Always root for the Hurt, don't want the Sox to lose, but if he does something against the Sox, I'll at least be able to smile and say at least it was Big Frank.

Reliving High School
QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) If this highschooler can't do her homework.. and counts on mommy and daddy to make things right for her.. then she's a child - mentally. Seriously.. there are posters in here YOUNGER then this child likely is and they KNOW that this is simply retarded, do you all not...? I'm in 8th grade, and I'm desperately searching for the logic in what Juggs is doing.

Buehrle delivers, with happy returns
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) Sounds like a sweet pitch. Only really awkward pitch I have is the submarine Shingo-style slider. But I have the regular 3-finger grip on the change-up from 3/4. Every once in a while I drop submarine and throw a two seamer just to keep em thinking. Pitching is a very fun and challenging task.

Buehrle delivers, with happy returns
I throw a bit more unconventional change-up, a circle change with the arm/wrist action you might expect from a screwball. It has nasty movement, and still spins like a fastball. The single hardest pitch I ever had to learn to throw though.

Buehrle delivers, with happy returns
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) I didn't say curveballs messed up my arm. I threw a pretty good overhand curveball and it didn't put much strain on my arm at all. It was the slurve that got me, I threw that pitch constantly, noone could even touch it. I wasn't directly referring to you. A lot of people think that a curveball in any form is hard on the arm, but there is most definitely a safe and effective way. The slurve is a tough pitch to hit though. I have a hard breaking 12-6, a lot like Freddy's. Of course, with a few less wild pitches. It took me about three years to put a harness on that damn break though, I couldn't keep it off the ground.

Buehrle delivers, with happy returns
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) I had to have elbow surgery my sophomore year in High School due to throwing junk in lttle league. It's not the best idea to have your 12 year old son throwing curveballs on a regular basis, he can really mess up his arm. It's not curveballs that mess with kids' arms. It is when they throw sliders because they're trying to throw a curveball or don't know the difference. The best thing to do with young ones is teach them the right way to throw it. A correctly thrown curveball is not dangerous to your arm in any way. No more than a fastball is. EDIT: Seeing what you guys are saying up there, a good changeup is very safe to the arm even when thrown incorrectly and is a good pitch to have in your arsenal for later on as well. I threw that in addition to a curveball, as opposed to a slider, and it makes for a great third pitch, especially when you throw it with movement.
