  3. I always wished Shingo would get his s*** together, when he was good he was real fun to watch. I hope this doesn't hurt the Gooch too much.
  4. Any player would go home and complain to their buddies about the fans booing, salary, etc. Frank just happened to do that to the media. I think Frank is probably a great guy, and as a kid I never heard he was a bad guy or anything. He was the Big Hurt, and he had his own Super Nintendo game that I played and the only bad guy on the Sox was Albert Belle.

  6. I hope he deals with losing as well as he deals with winning.
  7. Affeldt and Burnett? Yum.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) Point's well taken. Relaford killed the s*** out of the Sox last year though. Didn't he go like 5-5 against the Sox in 1 game last season? If he came to the sox, he would continue to kill us.
  9. Been pitching in the Majors for several outings, seems every bit of what he is supposed to be. Signs of maturity are also encouraging. Don't be surprised if Bobby stays in the majors.
  10. I heard you went and saw Tom House once, but left soon after he tried to alter your motion. Is there any truth to this, or am I not hearing the whole story? - Jake

    Why arent they trading Dontrelle?

They are both deserving. Aaron is tremendous out there. And just because Torii Hunter is in our league. They give it to the three best OF's, regardless of left, center, right.
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) How in the hell did you become so funny all the sudden? It's not him. It's a hacker.

  16. I was at a party once and they did something like that...the girl fell and hit her head on a tv and started shaking bad. She had a god damn seizure. Not Jake approved!
  17. The 3 spot is for a high on base percentage guy that hits for power but has decent speed. Typically your best overall hitter. This is also usually a guy who fits into your small ball philosophy. #3 is not a good spot for Frank right now. He keeps getting up in bunting situations and, being Frank, does not bunt. He also loves to strike out in those situations. I say no to Frank in the 3 hole. When Aaron is doing well (and hitting a few more homers) he's perfect for the spot, but right now theres not really anyone made for that spot. Don't forget Tad played in the 3 spot in Japan.
  18. Could you post it?
  19. Lots of bandwagoners, especially younger ones, become die hard fans. Some people don't just like a team just to like a team. Something's got to light the fire, why not a pennant?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) What kind of an idiot doesn't use green when being sarcastic?
  21. Frank's hitting a lot of bombs, but he's really anti-Ozzieball. There are a lot of times he strikes out when a lot of our other guys would sac fly or bunt. We're starting to look more and more about the good old all or nothing sox. We just can't string 2 or 3 or 4 singles together. I am all in favor of sitting Frank whenever Ozzie feels necessary. At least move him down in the order.
  22. Don't put all your faith in Coop. I talked to a guy who left professional baseball a couple years ago because of an injury, and he now works for the NPA (National Pitching Association) that is commanded by Tom House. Tom House is the only pitching coach that is actually employed by Major League Baseball. Japan and Cuba also have been known to consult him for pitching help. He is best known for teaching Mark Prior his motion. Anyways, this guy said of Major League pitching coaches, 2-5 actually know what they're doing. He said many were good themselves, and think their way is automatically right for everyone. Many stick to old and harmful mantras which hurt pitches. So don't think Coop is necessarily a miracle worker. BTW, Kris Honel went to this Tom House guy after his injury for a lesson, and after House attempted to change his motion Honel decided to leave. Hmm.
