  1. QUOTE(Elcaballo45 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) I'm still fuming from Buck's comment of "If I was Oswalt, I'd feel I was being squeezed". I about through my controller at the tv. go ahead. You shouldn't change the channel during the game anyways!
  2. Same here. I probably let him hit and hope Pods can do something with one out
  3. Pitcher leading off next inning and Jon looks good in the 5th. You be the manager
  4. Yeah Aj flipped his bat after those two walks and I thought the same thing
  5. Can you magically gain a sinker feel like you can a curveball?
  6. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Bud Selig "A plague on both your houses" way to bring it Tex
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Oswalt has always been known as someone that has no problem hitting another batter. The confrontation between him and M. Barrett was quite comical last year. Thats true, I remember that incident. That count and situation is not where I anticipate Roy throwing at him to hit him, even if Joe has homered earlier.
  8. I worry about Hernandez with Crawford boxes but he does rise to the moments. I want to see Hermanson in the 7th or 8th tonight. He'll come up big
  9. We've had a small problem with giving back runs lately with Mark and Jose to small extents. Lets see that trend end with a big inning by Jon who should be reinvigorated by the lead. I would say its time to start warming guys up though because we don't want to fall behind with Jon on the hill at this point.
  10. Ozzie: I was a better player than you and I have more money than you!
  11. That is Carl being a leader. We can't throw back given the stakes so Carl stood up for Joe. Thats a good thing
  12. This is against the National League'sbest pitcher over the last two years. Simply amazing. Plus, consider this was the inning with the pitcher up and failing to execute
  13. Do we yet ANOTHER greatest inning in White Sox history? I dunno but this is pretty good
  14. Aj has proven that sometimes those who do not walk, can
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) We've come back from 4-0 against a pitcher that seemed to be in control in the postseason. I know it's a much different pitcher on the mound but I find it hard to believe that anyone would give up on this team after what they've done all season and all postseason. Whatever though, to each his own, turn off the tv if you guys think the game is over. Glad to see I was wrong!!!!
  16. Maybe two long layoffs in a row is showing up in his command. Maybe, this woul dhave happened no matter what. Even when starters start every 5th day, sometimes they gt knocked around for no apparent reason. This game feels out of reach even tough its not. Bad feeling to have huh?
  17. Depending on how the rest of the 4th and 5th goes, it might be a night to give El Duque a few innings or to mix and match an inning a piece to get Hermy, Viz, Marte, etc. a bit of work
  18. I guess R-L-R works but their only real option form the left side is Gallo I think and he's not great. I think there are pretty much only 4 possible pitchers tonight for Houston (Oswalt-WHeeler-Qualls-Lidge) and I htink they will try to just use the two
  19. Does no one on tv get this: this has nothing to do with noise as far as mlb ordering it closed. It has to do with precedent, and there is one.
  20. I don't trust dome teams either. I don't think I should, its too easy to do stuff to influence the game subtley. That was a good post you pulled from the AZ board. Let's hope Oswalt will spot us 3 tonight
  21. Its not the media's fault, its our bad apples fault. We have had a few more of them than others for some reason. I really don't know why this crap keeps happening. Theres really nothing that we can do besides not egg them on when they are doing things like getting themselves thrown out ot he UD for drunkeness (I've seen thousands cheer people for this).
