  4. 11 More wins boys. I enjoyed this series, because there really wasnt anything to play for, we were already in the playoffs. Once that final out was recorded my attention was squarly on the Red Sox now. 47 hours until 1st pitch and I am already biting my nails. This is what we wanted in April, and now we have it, lets go out there and win this f***en thing GO SOX!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Awesome. lets enjoy this. I will be until Sunday when we find out who we will play, then its back to work
  6. From Fred Mitchell's Tribune column: Comcast SportsNet will provide a look back at the 2005 season, along with a preview of the playoff picture in the special "White Sox Drive in '05," hosted by Kerry Sayers and White Sox Post Game Live studio analyst Bill Melton at 7 p.m. Monday from U.S. Cellular Field. …
  7. Hell yea, I knew what was going on the hole time as well. One more win and we are the 2005 american league central division champion chicago white sox...wow that has a nice ring to it....FINALLY
  8. Finally someone else knows whats going on
  9. OK people, I have seen all of the confusion on this board about this situation. So I will tell you how it is. This is the correct version of what will happen. Sox Magic Number to win division=2 Sox Magic Number to clinch wild card=1 We all agree on that. What most people are confused about is the one game playoff/tie-breakers If the Sox are tied with the Indians, and Cleveland and the Sox are tied in the Wild Card, the Sox win the division by the head to head record. THIS IS THE ONLY CASE WERE THE HEAD TO HEAD RECORDS MATTER. If the Sox and Indians are tied for the division, and the AL east 2nd place team is leading the wild card, then AND only then the Sox would play at Cleveland on Monday October 3rd. The winner winning the AL Central, and the loser going home for the winter. I hope this clears everything up, as this is the correct way that these senarios would work out
  10. Y doesnt email brooks to get more information?

  13. So if we win tommorrow and the yanks and red sox lose, does that mean we clinch a playoff birth?

  19. the part that i liked was: The White Sox, meanwhile, have been in first place every day of this season. They soared, they slumped, and this weekend they regrouped. The one thing they haven't done is choke. that statement is so true
