I guess ur happy if lee, maggs, konerko, and mark buerhle will be gone
-
Tell me with what money?? How do you know buerhele dosent want get hell out of here either? Watch same crap happened maggs, and point frankily we can losse mark buerhle same way. This all about us be god danm cheap point blank. We took pod salary which is real real bad salary. You only ask for another middle relief. We had lee metions in trades with rj, javier vaquesz and you only ask for someone like pod and viscanio. Hell no ginter either which is another thing that I be danm pisst about. We talk about 5th starter and we have grilli or schioenwis start there I gurantee you wont see my ass watching another 5th starter spot of 1-15 starts. Ozzie philosphy small ball. Kenny and rendsdorf cheap ass ball. Point blank if Konerko is gone and Mark buerhle next yr this will be one of worst teams ever. If your telling me you couldnt get more lee your a joke because we could of.
-
The trade is terrible. Trade a guy under contract for 2 yrs. You could traded konerko whose contract coming up. Gurantee money either go to him or Mark buerhele. Sox fans the money will not be spent. Also if konerko is not signed by midseason I see him gone by trade deadline. Guys looking at this realistic this team will loose konkero, lee, maggs, and possbiyl mark buerhle after this yr. This is going be one worst time ever if you are sox fan.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Carlos Lee was traded from the Chicago White Sox to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday for outfielder Scott Podsednik, reliever Luis Vizcaino and a player to be named. Lee, who batted .305 with 31 homers and 99 RBIs last season, gives the Brewers a right-handed slugger in the middle of the lineup to complement Geoff Jenkins and Lyle Overbay, both left-handed hitters. "A profile like Carlos' was our biggest need and we felt we accomplished that -- but it didn't come cheaply," Milwaukee general manager Doug Melvin said. The speedy Podsednik is a proven leadoff man. Though he slumped at the plate this year, he led the major leagues with 70 stolen bases. After finishing runner-up for NL Rookie of the Year in 2003, Podsednik hit .244 with 12 homers, 85 runs and 39 RBIs last season. "His swing got a little long and little bigger. He kinda went away from his strengths," White Sox general manager Ken Williams said. "We're looking for something in between last year and the year before. That's plenty good enough for us. One positive is his speed, his ability to create havoc on the bases. " Vizcaino, a right-hander, went 4-4 with a 3.75 ERA and one save in 73 relief appearances. Jenkins could shift to right field to make room in left for Lee, who did not commit an error last season. "It makes us maybe even a little better defensively in the outfield," Melvin said. "I'm confident that Brady Clark can play center field for us and then Dave Krynzel at some point. Brady had an on-base percentage of something like .420 after the All-Star break, which was one of the highest in the National League." Lee, 28, had at least 24 homers and 80 RBIs in each of the past five seasons -- and he can run, too. He had 31 homers and 113 RBIs in 2003, but he became expendable when Chicago signed right fielder Jermaine Dye last week. Lee will make $8 million next year, and his contract contains an $8.5 million club option for 2006 with a $500,000 buyout. "People will probably be shocked that we spent the money," Melvin said. "I don't know that we have a lot left to spend, but this does send the right message to our fans." Podsednik is guaranteed $550,000 next season and $1.9 million in 2006. Vizcaino is eligible for salary arbitration and figures to make about $2 million next year. Williams said the White Sox's formula wasn't working, so they had to make a change. "What we were about the last few years, we got caught in sort of an all-or-nothing type zone. Our run production was misleading. We scored in bunches," Williams said. "One day we'd look like world beaters and then for three days, we'd fall into a pattern where we couldn't score any runs. ... We wanted to find people who can create their own runs, create scoring opportunities," he added. "We looked at it in this fashion: remaking the club like we said we would with speed a dimension; we're upgrading the defense and upgrading the bullpen and we have financial flexibility to add another player." After finishing last in the NL Central, the Brewers were busy at the winter meetings, which concluded Monday. They traded All-Star closer Dan Kolb to Atlanta on Saturday for prized pitching prospect Jose Capellan and minor league right-hander Alex Zumwalt. "It makes us a little thin on the back end of our bullpen," Melvin said. "Now we have to go out and find some relief pitching. We have to have the courage to find someone to close and just give him the ball." theres the player be named later !!!!!!!!!! Zumwalt was acquired Monday as the player to be named in that deal, then assigned to Triple-A. He was 3-7 with a 5.09 ERA in 46 relief appearances at Double-A Greenville last season. The White Sox also placed right-hander Dan Wright on unconditional release waivers. Wright went 0-4 with an 8.15 ERA in four starts last season before being demoted to Triple-A Charlotte on May 1. He had reconstructive elbow surgery on June 1 and isn't expected to be ready to pitch again until next December. Wright is 20-26 with a 5.65 ERA in 70 career games, all but six of them starts.

-
Soxfan ur the same guy who posted the bullcrap trade of us getting perez and craig wilson from pirates. Are you trying piss us off? We just lost lee today and you have the nerve to say something stupid as that. Like I told you last night kenny looked too happy and he went to the " umm theory" meaning yes something happening and same thing kenny did with dye coming here. Its complete b.s. and I do listen to raido and no it was not metiones so stop it.
-
all Im going say who told u he be traded from kenny willams interview last night when asked if he trade lee or konerko. He avoided and said umm time up just like on score about dye coming here umm and his theory of umm and wasting time dont work. There ya go people
-
from east valley tribeune For example, when the Chicago White Sox offered outfielder Carlos Lee and right-hander Jon Garland, the Diamondbacks countered that right-hander Freddy Garcia or lefty Mark Buehrle would have to be part of the deal
-
Like pedro say" were a bunch of idiots" hahahaha flying under the radar woooooo
-
Thats why they talk and thats why paper makes up the rumors lol
-
ding ding ding. Alot of sox pitchers hate him. Mark Buerhle to be for one. If they dont get along hes not worth it. yes good catcher and calling games. But if clubhouse gets divided we dont need distractions like that like cubs have with sosa, their announcers and everything else
-
Like kenny said it frees up money and to due that you have to give up people to do that and who knows maybe sheets will become in deal.
-
Guys thid deal sounds about right. Kenny always been telling us build team for 2007 and guess what that deal does this. Also sox will get a 5th starter if this happeneds.
-
can someone give me contrace info for pod and ginter
-
bruce levine had this discussed 2 weeks ago and sox sources he said is he is trouble and sox are not going in that direction for him
-
wont happened cause most of orginzation hates him
-
Like I said unless were real real close will talk about it. Right now were back at square one with whose lying the agent or gm or arizona.
-
Pal I would like that to. But its a dream and a fantasy like ozzie guillen the manager even said. So we can talk to months about it but start talking where lee and or konerko could go elsewhere. Alot teams want a player like lee or Konerko. Quite frankily I rather talk about that than hearing whose lying on arizona. Care about other possiblites cause it has never looked good of it happening. Now by some chance it did I will talk about it. But right now things look same way as last monday when kenny said rj wont wavie his no-trade clause.
-
Its called agent and randy want out no matter what. The deals gm saw he did not like including ours ladies and gentelmen. Yankees tried offer a fair deal and diamondbacks wanted more. You also wonder why chisox wanted chacon? its called arizona wanted him on top 10 list so we could at least try and offer it up to randy Johnson. The gm of the arizona diamondbacks is trying cool things over with rj now and saying were planning keep you and quite frankil I think arizona telling us go look trade elsewhere. The agent and rj have their say but it looks like management is making sure they dont get screwed like last deal for sexton. Thats my opinion. Also I rather care about lee and konerko being traded then rj right now cause it looks like one of them will be gone. Quite franikly I will miss them a whole lot when one of them is gone
-
Anyone remember last week day before we signed dye kenny was interviewed by the score and he went ummmmmmmmmm and ummmmmm I didnt hear you theory and they laughed. Its same danm thing smiling and saying umm hows the weather and is the time up. If he wasnt he could of said bright comment well were looking find best possible deal and everyone would be on list if we hear good offer
-
Thank you Lee or Konerko for the memories. I will trually miss both or one that gets traded
