When the ball was hiked the clock didn't move for almost a second and a half. Did anyone else catch that?

I think the Hawks looked great in the 1st but couldn't find the back of the net. Shot wide way to much.

Official 2008-2009 NHL Thread
QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 10:38 AM) Losing Sergei Gonchar (shoulder separation from a David Koci check, surgery, likely out 4-6 months) really hurts their offense and power play, too. Also losing Malone, Roberts, Ruttu and Brasher takes away from their grit. Sidney is going to get checked a lot more this year.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) Penguins getting chippy, down 3-0 with 2 minutes left. HOCKEY IS BACK, THANK GOD!!! The Pens look like they are a slow team this year. Look totally different.

QUOTE (Cowch @ Oct 8, 2008 -> 09:04 AM) I'm a big fan of Getz. I would actually enjoy seeing one of our own come up and actually start for us and play well. The other guys mentioned... no thank you. Me too! I like his swing, he's a line drive hitter and he quick.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX PLAYOFF WINNER!!!
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) That pigeon was pretty epic. I was at the game and we couldn't take our eyes off him. He walked down the first base line and I mean on the line. He walked the 3rd base line, both circles and then was eyeing Garza.

QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) Dye needs 1 more hit to tie Shoeless Joe Jackson for most postseason hits (19) I heard if he gets it, he has to play without his shoes in game 3.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) My question is this: why doesn't our coaching staff stress this more? I think they stress it the other way. Don't worry about the runner, just make a quality pitch.

Twins have "internal discussions" about Cabrera and Crede
QUOTE (WCSox @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 02:57 PM) No, what's weak is the sophomoric argument that you're presenting. Do you think that sulking in the dugout when a teammate homers would do anything positive for him? Perhaps you forgot about Cabrera throwing his teammates under the bus last week. You know, the comments about everybody goofing off and not focusing (except for him, apparently). Does that sound like a good teammate to you? I'm not arguing that Cabrera isn't a team player AT ALL, but I've seen enough this season to conclude that he's most interested in looking out for himself. Well he could just high five or just sit on the bench. Other Sox players do that, they must be selfish. He never threw anyone under the bus!
