  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) Sweeney Sexson okay i guess ill vowge for sweeney, sexson is off and on and konerko should get more votes because hes on a winning team
  5. lets look at this on a positive note, we now know we have some flaws and we could use a pitcher to do some long relief, and a guy who can hit estes at least we didnt get beat nine to one like the cubs did
  6. prince fielder went 0-4 today
  7. alright, now that the pregame is over lets start the game
  8. if we can get to the dbacks bullpen early we might be alright, their relievers arent the greatest
  9. hey, is estes starting to show his true self now Edit: paulie with a single
  10. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Big Frank theres a positive note
  11. QUOTE(wherehaveyougoneharold @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Lance Broadway's gonna be on the radio broadcast soon! any chance hes willing to show up to relieve contreras :headshake
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) could come back and win this one. we certainly do have the power hitters in the lineup to make it happen, we just cant hit estes, pathetic
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) This game is a perfect example though of why Ozzie needs to switch the rotation around so that Contreras and Duque aren't back-to-back. With Marte likely being unavailable, our pen is going to have their work cut out for them the next two days. this is why we need another pitcher, can use him as a long inning reliever
  14. Fantasy update: Add: Gustavo Chacin Drop: Jose Contreras
  15. speaking of addicting games heres a site for ya: Addicting games
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) I've been looking forward to this call-up for awhile now. I have been mezmorized with the Brewers system for a few years, waiting to see these cats at the big league level. Unfortunately, it comes at Branyan's expense--a guy I just love to watch. wish i could watch him play live, i am however really looking forward to bj upton and delmon young, and im yet to see weeks in live action, should be interesting to watch these young players come up
  17. should be interesting to see where he ends up, giants would be a real good suitor even though their playoff hopes are low, braves could use a spark in the offense, astros could be a fit hes hitting good as you see in his avg, he just wasnt in his proper role, and with baldelli returning its hard to put him somewhere
  18. konerko should at least be second and iguchi should at least be third, but theres nothing we can do about it
  19. not a sox player: who could forget john franco, he used to go out and stand on the mound and wave to his centerfielder, and he wouldnt start pitching till the centerfielder waved back, quite the character
  20. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) Can the Sox finally win on national TV? i believe they already have this year against the angels

    QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Apparently I didn't type loud enough.... Regardless of what you think. He was a failed closer in Toronto. And upon coming to the Sox last season, said that he didn't have what it takes in the 9th. He doesn't want to want the ball in the ninth. We end up getting angry Cliff in those situations. just saying that hes capable, i want whats best for the team
  22. alou, that would be a smack in the cubs face schmidt looks beat up this year thats 2 nos here

    QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) I agree he shouldn't be thrust into the role, but over time, I think he could become a closer. He's not the same pitcher he was with Toronto. There is certainly a mental aspect to closing games, but with his improved performance, I think he could eventually assume that role. he has the mentallity to be in the role, he sort of reminds me of ryan, both of them like to throw hard and it works well for both, i think politte would do well as a closer, like everyone else
