  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 8, 2007 -> 04:55 PM) Me too. I picked Kiefer, got it wrong. I then picked the other guy and still got it wrong. Highest so far is 11. But only because I kept clicking whoever was on the left. I had same deal. Between Tom Brady and Christina Aguilera. Both wrong. Is there a 'tie' button I was not aware of.
  2. Brian Colangelo. He is a great gm, turned around the suns and the raptors. Made outstanding moves for both teams. Close second Billy Beane. Tight budget and still manages to get the As to the playoffs. They are so bad on paper but manage to win kind of like the Twins.
  3. QUOTE(briguy27 @ May 7, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) i know this thread kinda sucks, but for the people who have been to safeco field... im going there on august 13 to see play the twins. how did u like the stadium? explain... Sure.... Well I guess it depends on what your looking for. I loved it, cheap seats, good view, fans were friendly but most of them didn't speak english (asians). Depends on where you sit to, I toured the stadium and upper deck in right field you have a great view of Seattle if the roof isn't overhead. Overall wherever you stood you had a good view, and the stadium was all around enjoyable. I sat like 12 rows up 1st base side, under the awning, and unlike Fenway if there was a pop fly you couldnt see it in Seattle you can. Which was nice, some ballparks you lose the ball. Food was so so, good amounts of seafood. Just my 2 cents, just shout out a question. ONE THING, DO NOT PARK IN THE PARKING GARAGE NEXT DOOR, YOU WILL NEVER GET OUT. TOOK US ABOUT 45 MINUTES, MAYBE LONGER BUT IT WAS TERRIBLE. ^Parking is poor, very bad.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 7, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) That type of pace plays right in the Warriors' hands. Utah has to slow that s*** down if they want to win this series. Im entitled to disagree, Utah is good at running the court not as good as GS but they will hang with them if it turns into a fast break game. Utah also unlike GS has a solid transition defense and pressures midcourt very well on breaks. Both teams matchup really well. Interested to see how Sloan plans this game. Edge to GS because they have too many scorers for Utah and have nothing to lose. 43-41 Utah right now. Pending Barons free throws.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2007 -> 12:23 AM) Saw Spiderman on Friday. Overall, I thought it was pretty damn good, hated the ending though. I enjoyed Spiderman 3 also, some parts they kind of dragged out with nonsense. Like you said kind of a dull ending. I dont really see a 4th one stemming off of this movie though or how they would have another. But Im all for it. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ May 7, 2007 -> 12:33 AM) I saw Casino Royale and thought it sucked. I'm so god-damned sick of Texas Hold'em. Casino Royale was alright.
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ May 6, 2007 -> 10:25 PM) Guess I was optomistic. 4.1IP 5R 4ER You were fairly close. Lincecum throws alot of fastballs, that or all his pitches reach the 90s. He was wild majority of the games, I didnt think he mixed up his pitches enough. Overall hes got talent, just shaking off the nerves we will see what happens next outing.
  9. Pitching wise the Yankees need all the help they can get. Sad thing is that their staff is so bad that hes their ace when he joins. Not to shoot down Petitte or anything.
  10. Might just be me but just doesn't seem like we won the series. Nevertheless Ill take the W, tough series coming up, carry over the success. Nice to see Sweeney stringing together some hits lately.

    Tornado footage

They were awful close to it at one point, that or their camera was zoomed in.
  12. QUOTE(dasox24 @ May 5, 2007 -> 11:55 AM) I wouldn't expect him to make it. He and Jonathan Wade (who just got drafted) were both track stars that also played football. Wade had what it took, and now he's in the NFL. Gatlin didn't, so he focused on track. Anything can happen, though. If Im Tampa Bay I would be somewhat intrigued by the idea. Fastest man in the world trying out for wideout, only question is can he play? When you look at it he will be one of the faster players on the field, he should know how to run routes from Tennessee. Difference maker will be his catching, getting hit, and awareness. Id like to see him make it.
  13. Bonds just added to his MVP repertoire today with another homer putting him at 744.
  14. Justin Gaitlin is going to tryout out for the Buccaneers for a wide receiver spot. Found this interesting, we all know hes fast, and appearently he played little football at Tenn so who knows.
  15. I will be seeing Sox play in Toronto this year. Seeing Sox play at Wrigley if that counts.
  16. QUOTE(BearSox @ May 4, 2007 -> 07:05 PM) why vote for someone who cheated his away and took away awards from two of the greatest hitters to ever play. At this point in time its hard to tell whos using steroids and who isn't. Ditto what Wite said below. Id like to think if Bonds wasn't on the verge of breaking the home run record you would probably hear of more names being thrown up in the air as possible steroid users. Luckily for them Barry is stealing the spotlight. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 4, 2007 -> 07:06 PM) Because Pujols and Beltran could just as easily be juicing ^Agree
  17. WHAT!!! No more Simple Life episodes, very disapointed.
  18. OMFG, Erstad which team are you on today?
  19. Nice job Erstad, how long have you played here.
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 4, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) I'll say this for Paul, he legged it out. Cabrera obviously felt rushed, hence the error
  21. Got a gift Paulie. You wasted two good pitches and pick some terrible low and away junk.
  22. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ May 4, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) I'll say one, from AJ. One here, but from Pk
  23. QUOTE(Fotop @ May 3, 2007 -> 07:15 PM) Per Rotoworld... Giants placed RHP Russ Ortiz on the 15-game disabled list, retroactive to May 2, with elbow neuritis in his right arm. Could it be Tim Lincecum time? There hasn't been any indication yet, but it'd be hard to pick anyone else to replace him in the rotation. If Lincecum comes up and pitches well, Ortiz shouldn't have a spot once he's ready to return. May. 3 - 7:32 pm et Looks like a callup is on the horizon...can't imagine the Giants not giving the kid the opportunity Well the whole world will see him if he pitches sunday, the games on ESPN.
