QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) Come on, we're 53-27. I challenge you to find me a single middle reliever with at least 10 poor outings. -

it sounds ridiculous because we are winning, but still, the starting pitching has just not been impressive. we certainly dont have a santana, liriano 1,2 punch. liriano may never lose a game again. -

I love Phil Rogers' selections for the all-city team 95% of the time. But I just wanted to remind everyone that Phil did choose Ryan Dempster over Bobby Jenks on this years team. And that does not even account for the fact that Dempster is making 5 million and Bobby is making 300,000 dollars. Bobby is just unbelievable.

Everyone here keeps saying "We have 52 wins so who cares that Vazquez has a 5.20 era." Well, thinking ahead, we are going to have to run one of Vazquez Garland or Garcia out there in the playoffs in GAME 3!! and I think that there is a decent chance all of them have 5.00 ERA's at that time. That is concerning, not to mention that Vazquez has been getting pounded by mediocre, NL Central teams lately, I dont think that he can hold up against the BoSox or Yanks, that is the problem here.

Anderson was named to the Worlds team roster for the Futures Game. Those guys must have read the Phil Rogers article and got caught up in the hype.

Fairyotti with predictable whining about "light" punishment

Did anyone hear Jayson Stark on Mike and Mike in the morning this week? they asked him what he thought and all he talked about was how in the old days writers DID have to go into the dugout to back up their written criticism. It was really interesting, he clearly had no respect for mariotti. -

Joe Crede's bright future v. Josh Fields, Ryan Sweeney
shawnhillegas replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 10:47 AM) I think next season assuming we dont replace our middle infield it will be Iguchi Uribe leading off for us. Hopefully in the far future it can be Getz and Valido but dont know about that. Getz is putting up a Podsednik-like average in AA, without the speed. I dont think hes going to be a major league starter. So if we arent moving Fields because we think he has more value at 3b on the market, who are we trying to acquire? Quite frankly, if its not Carl Crawford, I really would rather not move Fields. The bullpen doesnt really scare me anymore (and I think Tracey is coming back) so who else would we be trying to make a deal for? just curious. -

Time is so rock solid in the minds of the hordes but they cant...explain why it should slip away i can do bad religion quotes all year long baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 QUOTE(beautox @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 10:45 AM) In my attempt at putting together the '08 roster I've taken a hint from some of the posters here along with Greg Graffin and James Hutton "questions that besiege us in life are testament of our helplessness "there's no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end", we have no control, we do not understand, you have no control, you are not in command!" god I'm a lame ass. seriously, greatest post EVER. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) I'm bias, he was one of the picks I really loved in that draft (Whisler, uggh). I feel the same way about Tracey (big fan of what his arm could do in our pen; simply because the stuff is there for him to be sucessful). Hey, dont worry, I loved the Whisler pick too.
