5/26 Game Thread: Sox @ Blue Jays
shawnhillegas replied to Gregory Pratt's topic in 2006 Season in Review
QUOTE(Wolverine31 @ May 26, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) Your vaunted pitching staff is being lit up like a Christmas tree when you play real teams rather than feast off non-contenders with the #30 ranked schedule in the majors. BTW, Tigers up 7-2 over the Tribe. 2.5 GB for you after tonight. YOU CANNOT BE f***ING SERIOUS. ITS MAY DUDE, ITS MAY! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE CARE ABOUT A 2.5 GAME LEAD. LAST YEAR WE ALMOST LOST A 15 GAME LEAD IN AUGUST. oh yeah, but we still won the world series -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 26, 2006 -> 08:08 AM) So it looks like this: Anderson - 5 gams, fine Cora - 2 games, fine Pierz - fine Pods - Nothing Contreras - Nothing Barrett - 10 games, fine Mabry - Nothing Lee - Nothing. I would have laughed so hard had Mabry got suspended.

How about the fact that the tigers bullpen is much better than the indians?

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 25, 2006 -> 07:37 AM) How do we know what he is throwing right now? The comcast speed gun is broken, last night Haren was averaging 84 MPH and Buehrle was averaging around 77 MPH. Somehow I dont think those are right. Comcast just cannot do anything right Yeah, the comcast speed gun is really s***ty

Pierzynski's New Hitting Approach

I bet AJ hits 11 homers this year, with an average more than 50 points higher. well worth it. -
Guys, Im worried about Boone. He gave up 3 runs in his Charlotte debut. We need him back to win the World Series.

QUOTE(pcullotta @ May 23, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) I might take a lot of crap for this but I hate Miller Lite and I really hate their commercials. MGD is worse. it tastes like pee. -

If Javy can go 6 innings with 3 runs it would be a total success given the zone tonight. -

tonight looks like a good night to see Jeff Nelson! QUOTE(AbeFroman @ May 23, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) by the way, farmer and singleton are really improving... couldnt agree more. -
Cubs fans should be more worried that no one helped Mabry out. There were 4 sox players and an umpire and Mabry at the bottom, wheres the team unity?
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 22, 2006 -> 09:42 PM) He's on the way, and I hope Sean Tracey isn't far behind. Sean Tracey the starter is miles ahead of Sean Tracey the middle reliever.

QUOTE(danman31 @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:21 AM) Owens and Stewart are talked up too much in the article. Sweeney even a bit too. All the pitchers mentioned are doing well in their leagues and Fields is tearing it up in the IL. These guys can help in the future. The pitchers are very expendable and if the Sox makes move this trade deadline it will involve one of the pitchers for sure. I dont know, it seems to me that Rogers is just saying that Stewart can replace Widger as a backup catcher, which he certainly can. I dont think hes trying to make the claim that hes a future star. Owens is an interesting story. I think that he will need all this year and al next year in AAA but I think he will have a big year in AAA next year, but whether he can ever hit in the majors or not remains to be seen. Can we move Josh Fields to left field?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 23, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) Hell I didn't even know that. I didn't realize the Marlins cut him lose after the Mariners did. hes a marlin, he played last night
