  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) You choose to get upset about the strangest things. Funny how that works. Though I will say I don't remember getting upset about a lot recently, so I'll have to go look that up.
  2. All these webcasts have nothing to do with professional productions or anything to do with the MLB. THey are just something that the Whitesox put together so the fans could see a White Sox game. So, quit your b****ing and be glad we get to see Sox ST at all. Holy f*** people have been in a b****ing mood of late and the season hasnt' even started. How miserable.
  3. Apparently I'm the only idiot here.
  4. Haha. Read the Chisox article. I could hear you guys screaming before you even read it.
  5. I think we've hit into 800 DPs today. Good. get them out of the system. That one by some cat named Sanchez.
  6. The Angels are scoring 8.1 runs a game this spring. Thats awesome.
  7. Their stuff was solid, but control just not there yet. Not surprising after 8 months away from the mound, but little concerning with only 2 weeks left til they pitch.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 05:00 PM) Gus Gilchrist got out of his LOI he signed with Va Tech to go to Maryland (1 yr penalty I believe), but then he transferred to USF anyways. Yah. I was thinking of transfers, not LOI signers.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:54 PM) They never enforce that 2 year rule though. Spurlock is best friends with GT commit Brian Oliver, and Spurlock's told Hewitt he's doing his best to get there. You're right though, it would be hard for him to be eligible next season. Maybe I'm thinking of just transfers but I think that rule is set in stone and enforced by the league.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:48 PM) I heard Tristan Spurlock is pleading to get out of his LOI so he can go to Ga Tech also. We're all praying Bennett can say some magic words, but I can understand if he wants to go elsewhere. We'll release him, but I'll doubt he'll go to an ACC school and sit out 2 years (which is the rule).
  11. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 04:46 PM) A lot of people feel that Bennett will one day be the head coach of Wisconsin when Bo Ryan retires. That's if you still want him. Virginia is where coaches go to kill their careers.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) Really questionable decision there...not a lot of high-level recruits will want to play in such a slow-paced system. Landesberg will likely enter the draft now. Yah. We needed the HR. He's a great X/Os coach, but that isn't enough in the ACC if you don't have the talent to go with it. It could fly in the PAC10, but I'm really worried.
  13. Colon and Contreras' stuff looks ok, but there command is all over the place. Not too surprising considering they didnt pitch for like 8 months, but they have only 1 more ST start so it's a little scary. Good to see their stuff is ok.
  14. Angels are hitting the hell out of the ball this spring.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) Of all pitchers with at least 60 IP last season Matt Thornton, tied with Jonathan Papelbon, had the 6th highest average velocity on his fastball at 95.3 MPH he trailed the leader (Jonathan Broxton) by 1 MPH. Brian Wilson, Manny DelCarmen, Jose Valverde and Brandon Morrow are the others ahead of him but only .5 MPH separated them all. You should do that all year.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) The Corkster has 35% more K's than hits against left handed pitching in his career. He also has more double plays than doubles in his career. One more: Against lefties, Corkaroo has reached on an error as often as he's managed an extra base hit. You are full of neat tidbits
  17. Haha. You guys are too angry for this early in the season. It is fun to laugh at though, so please don't stop
  18. I like big butts and I can not lie...
  19. Jose's stuff looks good, but his command isn't there yet. Though that is not surprising considering he didn't throw for 8 months.
  20. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) What's the 411 on this Williams pitcher? Any chance he'll end up in Chicago in the future? There is a decent chance that he'll end up in Chicago in the very very near future (ie April 6) as the second lefty.
  21. I think the lesser of the evils, and boy they are evil, is Getz leading off and Wise/Anderson batting 9th platooning
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) Not a good start for Buehrle. Now that's the kind of analysis that you just can't pay for.
