Somebody on twitter made the comment that they thought it was asinine to give $30 million to Jake Peavy and Alex Rios as well. I thought it was an interesting point.

Merk says that Peavy is going to pitch in a game on March 4. I'm surprised they are giving him a game so early. I think that's pretty good news, though.
