Richard has no chance of making the team this or even next year. I might even go as far to say '08 as well. This performance doesn't mean anything.
Everything doesn't revolve around making the big league team. Players are trying to impress, move up in the system and get their shot at higher levels.

It's not like the guy had a chance in hell of making the team.
That's not the point. He's trying to impress the organization to help down the road. They'll remember that he couldn't throw strikes. That'll hurt him a little down the road.

I would also like to see freddy pitch, but i bet he will tommorow.
Freddy pitched today, but back at camp with the minor leaguers so he didn't have to come pitch in the rain.

If Iguchi continues to struggle, do the Sox put Cintron in to start at 2B?
Iguchi is batting .118 this spring.
LOL. About as close to zero as you can get. Iguchi will be the starting 2b until his contract runs out at the end of 07.
Who cares what he is hitting in ST? It doesn't matter.

Of course there should be concern with Jenks. We heard two straight spring trainings that Koch's velocity would come over the course of the month. Jenks's mechanics looked terrible the last two times I saw him pitch. People act like he has a track record of 10 years worth of success in the majors. He's as much of a question mark as anyone else on the big league team. We don't have any other closing options right now either.
Jenks said this has happened in every spring camp that he has been in. Why would this year be any different?
