  1. Man that stuff was funny.
  2. That was one of the dumbest things i have ever read. It was mindless dribble. This guy is a complete moron. :finger
  3. I thought that was pretty weird that he was aquitted. I also thought it was hilarious he would use an excuse that dumb.
  4. What the hell is up with the quotes? this has been happening lately.
  5. LONDON (Reuters) - Humming sex toy shuts Australian airport. Taiwanese man tries to convert lions to Jesus, gets bitten. Talking toilet orders German men to sit down. Chinese get busy signal on Beijing suicide line. Canadian guide dog barred for only answering its master's commands in French. Japanese boy writes apology in blood for dozing in class. Some other weird stuff: German police arrested a flasher who stumbled over his dropped trousers during an aborted attempt to flee. A cost-cutting German theatre was berated for using just four dwarves instead of seven in their Snow White show. A survey revealed that most German men wear the wrong size condoms. Germans said they find smelly co-workers to be the most annoying aspect of their jobs. UK nursing home staff were so proud of a 105-year-old woman who had smoked since the age of 15 that they cremated her with a packet of her favourite cigarettes in the coffin. A British train conductor stamped and carefully returned the ticket of a slumbering passenger without realising the man was dead. A South African radio reporter went a little more live than he anticipated when he was mugged on air for his mobile phone while transmitting from a local squatter settlement. A Norwegian court acquitted a man accused of raping a sleeping woman after he said he was also asleep at the time. All three wives of a 67-year-old Iranian man took overdoses in an unsuccessful triple suicide bid after the youngest wife sparked jealousy by buying an expensive pair of boots. A Malaysian man shot his wife dead after he mistook her for a monkey picking fruit behind their house. A Spaniard tried to have his wife charged with domestic abuse because she refused to have sex with him on five consecutive nights. Two Italians with the nicknames Bull Shark and Nurse Shark donned bubble-helmet immersion suits to get married in a shark tank. But from Latin America to Africa, tainted love turned twice to tragedy. A Mexican man killed his lover in a drunken, drugged fight and then cooked the man's body in tomato and onion sauce and ate it over three days. And a Zambian man hanged himself in shame after his wife rushed into their house to investigate a noise and found him having sex with a chicken. The chicken was slaughtered afterwards. I thought thesewere so funny i had to post them.
  6. either way... its very windy at times.
  7. <!--QuoteBegin-upnorthsox+Jan 1, 2005 -> 01:22 PM--> QUOTE (upnorthsox @ Jan 1, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) <!--QuoteEBegin--> Well there's no doubt the park played alot small last yr but I'm not convinced it wasn't an aberition. Thats an interesting view but you cant just discount the games where it was windy. That is what it is like in Chicago. Thats why they call it the windy city. So it is doubtful the weather will be much different next year. If you ask me, the dimensions of the park should have been made to compensate for the windy chicago weather.
  8. I have always liked Brad Maynard. I am glad he is on the Bears. I like never needing to worry about our punter screwing up. He is very consistent.
  9. There is no way that the seats will be moved back. They would have to take out 5 or 6 rows for it to make much of a diference.
  10. I dont know officially but i will assume that he is staying. They already traded 2 of the big 3. I know they are sort of rebuilding but they need a good pitcher to build the starting rotation around. I am almost 100% sure he will be staying with the A's next season.
  11. QUOTE (Sanjay2000 @ Dec 31, 2004 -> 06:49 PM) If I were a GM, I would easily take Jon Garland over Javier Vazquez...sure, Jon Garland's numbers have not been phenomenal over his career but keep in mind that he's still very young and he has experience and he's just gonna keep getting better and better...with Jon Garland, you are really paying for the future because he has the stuff and experience will just keep making him better...sure he struggled early in his career but that was more because Jerry Manuel had no confidence in him...if your boss at work keeps talking you down and never gives you challenges, how can you expect to get better? Garland is young and could easily pitch another 15 years in the big leagues...at 15 wins a season, Garland could easily still win 300 games and go to the Hall of Fame...it would be a grave mistake to trade Jon Garland right now...his sinker is also perfect for US Cellular Field too...Vazquez is ovverrated, his health is questionable and he got rocked in the AL, he's an NL type pitcher i think and he has a great arm but his upside is not as high as Garland's...Garland if he puts it together could easily win the Cy Young which gives us four Cy Young Quality arms (Contreras, Buehrle, Garcia, and Garland) to go with the crafty veteran El Duque, only the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees have better rotations than the Chicago White Sox You were making sense at first then you said he might play 15 more years and get 300 wins and win the Cy young. I agree with you when you say it would be a grave mistake to trade him. I think he has a lot of potential, not as much as you said, but more than Vazquez anyway. Whether the Sox have the 3rd best rotation in the MLB right now is questionable. We wont know until the season is finished, but the Sox rotation is definitley a good one.
  12. Good point. My top rotations are: NYY ATL BOS Minn STL CHC CHW
  13. Is that a Joke? He could make a suggestion or two, but scout?
  14. I seriously doubt KW will trade Contreras. Contreras is kind of KW's pet pitcher. As for Konerko, KW already said to the Sun-times that he wasnt going to trade Konerko unless it was for a great player (RJ). If there is any deal concerning Vazquez i figure it will be for Garland and a top prospect.
  15. One hit wonders like Jody Gerut and victor martinez.
  16. He compliments Cinncinati's horrible rotation pretty well.
  17. Not only did many people believe the sox had a good shot at the playoffs, but they also believed they had a good shot at going to the WS.
  18. Things have changed buddy its been 12 years! Bridgeport is pretty nice now.
  19. I dont give a s*** about Millwood. He ended last year by losing 10 out of his last 16. He seems like a pitcher that the sox would kill. Also, i want to know why everyone is so high on cleveland. There rotation isnt as good as it seems. Millwood had an awful year last year he will likely have a ERA in the 5 range. Cliff lee gets way to much credit he started out good in '04 but he ended up with an ERA of 5.43. We know about scott elarton. He is not dependable at all. Their top 2 starters are similar to ours but their bottom three can not even be compared with ours. Clevelands bullpen is crappy. While their hitting is good, i dont think it is going to carry them to a division title.
  20. He compliments their already terrible rotation quite well.
  21. Ill admit it. USCF really sucked a few years ago. Now it is one of the nicer parks because of the changes that were made. The reason the cubs have more "fans" is because most of them are idiots who know nothing about baseball. They just want to go to the urinal (wrigley) and get hammered . You wont find too many sox fans that are like that. Edit: US cellular also has the best food of any ballpark.
  22. Ichiro? We definitley had no interest in him. We would have to give up half the team to get him.
  23. Didnt Olivo have a kidney stone?... Ouch
  24. I think you are right this will be Crede's breakout year. I think he will go into opening day with a shorter, quicker swing. And I have my money on Jamie Burke as the most productive catcher.
