  3. If he walks a lot of guys tonight, he should be sent down. There's no reason he should be walking guys at Comerica.
  4. Crede's career OPS is .733. His career OBP is a miniscule .303. He is just not a good hitter.
  5. "Cubs are interested in Wilson" http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_2829748
  6. Yep, and it's getting pretty old and lame.
  7. I think it's almost Randa-time... "Yes! Get me out of this s***-hole known as Cincinnati!"
  8. There is really no excuse not to put up some runs on Jason Johnson. The Sox have rocked him throughout his career... Jason Johnson vs. Sox (career stats) 12 games 11 starts 4-5 record 67.0 IP 6.72 ERA 1.57 WHIP .276 BAA 74 H 54 R 50 ER 12 HR 31 BB 32 K
  9. Wow, Electrophobia.
  10. That would make no sense. Garland has pitched better than Schmidt this season and is cheaper. Plus, we want to ADD another quality starter. Not replace one with another.
  11. Contreras will earn $8 million next season. I'm sure the Giants would rather just keep Schmidt for $10 million than pay Contreras $8 million.
  12. Glenn Williams didn't keep his starting gig at 3rd base for very long... http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...=150554&id=8063 Looks like it's back to Cruddyer.
  13. We still have Burke, who isn't a horrible option in case someone gets injured.
  14. I do. The Tigers have a pretty good lineup but if McCarthy can't pitch in the cavern that is Comerica, how will he be able to be successful pitching at the Cell?
  15. Anyone think Paxson will try to sign Kelenna Azubuike? He went undrafted. We need a SG that can play some D and he could fit the bill. He is only 6'5" though.
  16. Randa's bat is SO MUCH BETTER than Crede's. He can even bunt! It's just that Crede's glove is great and is a huge key for our pitchers like Buehrle and Garland. Joe Randa .297 AVG .369 OBP .506 SLG .875 OPS 12 HR 42 RBI 29 BB 42 SO By the way, Crede is hitting .235 / .297 / .410 now. :puke I think if the Twins show ANY interest in Randa, Kenny will overbid them and nab him instead. Acquiring Randa would serve a dual purpose. He would add a consistent offense to our 3rd base position and also screw the Twinkies over.
  17. Agreed. Mike Morse's defense at SS would hurt us more than his bat would help us. How many less wins would we have without Uribe turning key DP's and making other great defensive plays?
  18. Let's see how the Tigers' supposed savior did... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap?gid=250628106&prov=ap
  19. I know the Tigers have a good lineup but if McCarthy can't have a good game tomorrow, Kenny will probably be looking to trade for a starter for sure. McCarthy is prone to giving up homers but he will be pitching in one of the biggest pitcher's parks in the MLB. It's make or break time, imo.
  20. But it DOES happen. We sent them Sosa and they sent us Garland. The trade does smell like BS though... http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/29/sports/b...html?oref=login
  21. Whatever you say. It sure didn't to me. The word "fair" doesn't have an "L" at the end of it.
