  1. I don't think we will ever see Frank at 1st base again, regardless of Konerko's health. If Konerko gets hurt we would see Gload play 1st. It's not worth the risk and I think the organization finally realizes it.
  2. I just heard an interview with Frank and he said that he would start his minor league rehab assignment sometime next week and he feels that he will be back with the Sox sooner than expected. He said he is feeling alot better and doesn't think he will need many at bats in the minors because he has been hitting so much BP.
  3. Kenny must have shared his motto with Politte...

  6. If only we were in position to grab Andy Sisco from the Flubs in the Rule V Draft instead of the Royals.
  7. Hermanson realized who really saved last night's game...
  8. Never, IMO. Hopefully Cotts will be replaced as soon as possible. He can learn some control in Charlotte. My heart can't take watching Cotts come into a game and issue a leadoff walk every damn outing.
  9. Ummm, if Cotts was closing for us instead of Koch do you think he would have done any better? Cotts' 5.88 career ERA says he wouldn't have.
  10. So leadoff walks and other walks won't hurt in long relief? It may not hurt as much but it will still hurt. Cotts has 54 career walks and 75 career strikeouts. That's terrible. I have no doubt that Kenny will deal for a lefty reliever at the deadline.
  11. Ozzie using Cotts in wrong situations is no excuse to walk the first guy he faces EVERYTIME. Neal Cotts 7 BB 7 SO That's not good. But I have no doubt that Kenny will make a move for a RELIABLE lefty reliever if we are still winning like crazy by the trading deadline.
  12. I think it's quite obvious already what we will need to trade for by the deadline -- a reliable lefty reliever that doesn't issue leadoff walks. Cotts may be good in time but right now he does not have enough control to be reliable in high pressure situations.

  16. Yeah, the lack of "BYE-BYE" was pretty disappointing.

  18. WhiteSox.com has DJ's homerun calls for Pierzynski and Crede. Crede's homer: "UHHH-OHHHHHH... TIED UP!" Pierzynski's homer: "There goes a fly ball... WAY BACK... UHHH-OHHHHHH... TWO RUN BLAST!"
  19. Timo should be batting... Oh crap, dammit Ozzie, Dye should have batted there...
  20. Indeed. Fathom is the master of hind-sight.
  21. Iguchi is the only one playing small-ball, or smart-ball for that matter.
  22. But at least they have a chance of hitting the ball out.
  23. Willie trying to swing for the fences is pretty disgusting man. :puke
  24. No one cares. Are you at the game tonight? How can you be disappointed in it then?
