  1. I know that they weren't all intentional but 4 HBP in the first two games of the series is unacceptable. I know we want to win the series badly and don't want to help the A's out but Freddy had better get some revenge for the boys today and drill one of their guys in the ass. So far in the series, Ozuna has been drilled twice, Crede once, and Carl once. Ozuna could have a broken hand/wrist. He had X-Rays last night but no results have been released yet.
  2. "STRETCH!!!" "... and Kotsay makes the grab in shallow center field."
  3. Haha, Busty is going back to LaChoke as his closer again... "Now playing at Wrigley: Baker's bullpen follies" http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...i-sportsnew-hed
  4. http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug27.html What a ballsy mofo.
  5. I'm betting that they don't want to mess with Garland's fragile psyche.
  6. Preferably, a good defensive shortstop.
  7. Good point. Either that or El Duque and Contreras need to nut up and throw strikes. I know alot of El Duque's game is pitching around guys but Contreras has great stuff and needs to challenge hitters. In any case, I don't think they want to mess with Garland's mojo. He is pitching like an ace as the 5th starter. I doubt they mess with that. Besides, it would be kind of hard to switch the rotation around at this point.
  8. If Uribe has to miss time or gets hurt for an extended period of time in the future, we are screwed. Neither Ozuna nor Willie can play SS effectively or consistently. There would be alot of balls going through that hole.
  9. Zambrano and Dusty are denying that the HBP to Kearns was intentional... http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...ack=1&cset=true :headshake
  10. Dye had a decent offensive game yesterday but we are facing another righty today. April is coming to a close and Rowand appears to be hitting again. Rowand's average is now up to .260 and he has been pretty clutch the past few games. Dye seems to be the anti-clutch inning-ender. I think it's time to bat Rowand 5th and drop Dye down in the order.
  11. "Skydiver Dies After Legs Severed in Midair" http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BRF...EMPLATE=DEFAULT Horrible story. A guy named Albert Wing III gets both of his legs severed by the wing of the airplane he was skydiving out of.
  12. There's a little more to the story here... http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BRF...EMPLATE=DEFAULT
  13. Agreed. Antawn must not be a very bright person. Calling players and teams out is moronic. It's funny when NFL players do it and get burned. I think Nocioni is going to burn him the rest of the series, as long as the officials don't puss-out and call fouls on him every 5 seconds.
  14. Freddy had better drill one of the A'ss players tomorrow. It was obvious that the HBP by Harden was completely intentional.
  15. I'm sorry, I can't. Two errors in one week in key situations is bad. If Timo did that, I have a feeling it would be okay to bash him. But since most people here are biased in Willie's favor, it's not okay to rip him.
  16. I can't back Willie after he botched a routine play at 2nd base against the Royals. That tied up the game. He was playing his natural position in that game.
  17. That is pretty damn funny, as sad as tonight's game was.
  18. That bad vibe comment was actually funny, as sad as the game was. The bad vibe thread is pretty funny.
  19. My point is that I would rather have Timo's clutch bat off the bench than Willie's clutch defense off the bench.
  20. Ozzie Smith is a Hall of Famer. Willie couldn't even sniff his jock. Comparing Willie to Ozzie Smith makes me want to puke. :puke
