  2. Gotta love being the headline story at MLB.com and ESPN.com.
  3. Great news for us is that Contreras' next start would be on April 28th, which is an off day. They could just go with El Duque on April 29th and so on, and hopefully Contreras would be healthy enough to make his start on May 4th. That would give him 10 days to rest.
  4. It's just speculation. Don't blow your foot off just yet. Hopefully, Contreras won't have to miss a start.
  5. ESPN 1000 is speculating that if his hammy isn't pulled he will probably make his next start. If Contreras' hammy IS pulled, he could miss 3 starts and B-Mac could be brought up.
  6. Fathom, you sir have looked like a complete moron throughout this entire thread.
  7. The Royals claimed Sisco from the Flubs via the Rule 5 Draft. Boy, they look stupid now. Sisco > LaChoke Hawkins

During an interview after the game, Busty said he'd have to go "back to the drawing board" when it comes to the closer situation. He said for some reason Hawkins just isn't good in 1-run situations. Hey Busty, maybe it's because his nickname is LaChoke Hawkins.
  9. I'm surprised Willie isn't playing 2nd. He has done very well against Greinke in limited at bats and another lefty in the lineup wouldn't be a bad thing.

MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Flubs fans are going to go ape-s***. They will want Busty fired after this game.
  11. And if you just watch Podsednik and Willie play, you instantly know who is the better leadoff hitter.
  12. Yep, not to mention that Benson is by far the best blocker of the three RB's. That's a huge plus as well.
  13. Michael Cuddyer, Luis Rivas, and Jason Bartlett sure aren't special. Since some of us called Crede "Cruddy," I wonder if Twins' fans call Michael Cuddyer "Cruddyer."
  14. "Contreras tries to stretch streak to six Chicago (13-4) at Kansas City (5-12), 6:10 p.m. CT"
  15. True, but our OBP was .285 a few days ago and we also drew 7 walks last night. Also, we are ranked 26th in strikeouts which is nice.

  17. Maybe we will see Manuel managing the Yankees sometime soon.
  18. Good signing. Get the guy locked up cheaply before he breaks out and expects alot of money, similar to how Kenny locked up Uribe.
  19. In response to the title of this thread... "The Mendoza Line..., Should be renamed the Jermaine Dye line" Aaron Rowand .222 AVG Jermaine Dye .179 AVG
  20. I admire Uribe's performance but Podsednik's 2 singles, 3 BB's, and 3 SB's is more impressive in my book. That's something we haven't had in a long time -- a true leadoff hitter.
  21. Coma is right. I can't even count the number of times I've seen Rowand bounce-out to the SS.
  22. Ozuna isn't getting any playing time so it's not like you can know how he would perform. Besides, Crede WAS sucking when I wanted to see Ozuna at 3rd base. Many other posters were suggesting the same thing in chat. By the way, it's 17 games into the season. Are you predicting that Crede will keep this up for the entire season? I sure hope he does but I wouldn't bet my life savings on it.
