  1. So what happens when Garland gives up 5 or 6 runs but our offense doesn't score that many? You can't expect your offense to score 6 runs a game.
  2. I am refuting the fact that you keep saying he is pitching well. Just because he is 3-0 this spring does not make that so. His horrible spring ERA indicates that he is NOT pitching well.
  3. Give it a rest. It was a typo, moron. Look at my earlier post when I said that Contreras was 13-9. Am I allowed to edit my posts to correct my typos? Or is that against your rules?
  4. Wow, ever heard of a typo? In fact, I edited my post with the correct information while you were posting this. The funny thing is that I said Contreras was 13-9 in an earlier post so it was obviously a typo.
  5. Ahhh, you have given up the debate by changing the topic. Nice. The fact is that wins and losses are the worst stat to judge pitchers by. By your logic, Contreras had a great season last year because he was 13-9, even though he had a 5.50 ERA. Garland is a good 5th starter. That is all.
  6. 6.63 So you think being 3-0 is great even though Garland has a 6.63 ERA but I'm the clueless one? Did Contreras have a great season last year since he was 13-9, even though he had a 5.50 ERA? :rolly
  7. Would you like to guess Garland's great ERA this spring?
  8. "Andruw Jones hits ninth and 10th homers" http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap;_ylc=X3o...0328105&prov=ap Wow, it's a shame that that Magg$ for Andruw Jones trade rumor of last season didn't happen. I sure wouldn't have minded an outfield of Pods in LF, Andruw Jones in CF, and Rowand in RF.
  9. And another bad outing. Do you at least look at the box scores? Garland has been bad all spring. The only reason he has 3 wins is because of our bats. Here's what he did today... Jon Garland (W,3-0) 6 IP 9 H 5 R 5 ER 3 BB 2 SO 3 HR He issued 3 walks, gave up 3 homers, and allowed 5 runs in 6 innings. That is pretty bad.
  10. They've been messing up at least once per game. It's really bad.
  11. I love dark men with greasy faces, what can I say?
  12. Yes, Jimenez did do that but I think all 3 runs actually scored. Speaking of Jimenez. The Astros just traded Tim Redding to the Padres for C Humberto Quintero. We drafted Quintero and traded him to the Padres in 2002 for Jimenez. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylc=X3oD...ov=ap&type=lgns
  13. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=MLB&id=6754 The Sox originally drafted C Humberto Quintero. We traded him to the Padres in 2002 for D'Angelo Jimenez.

    Ozuna

Willie Harris (Minor League Totals) .290 AVG .369 OBP .415 SLG .784 OPS Pablo Ozuna (Minor League Totals) .317 AVG .357 OBP .443 SLG .800 OPS Also keep in mind that while Willie can play 2B, CF, and possibly some SS, Ozuna can play 2B, SS, 3B, and the OF. Ozuna has played CF in the past just like Willie. I never said that Ozuna should start but I do think he could make a better bench player than Willie.
  15. Nope, I remember that game. It was a good game but he still gave up 3 runs in 6 IP. That's good for a 4.50 ERA. That's not bad but it's hardly great either.
  16. What is up with Chandler double-clutching his free throws? :puke
  17. You're right. The expectations were higher for Chandler, hence why he was picked before Curry. That's great but why are you bringing up college? Neither Chandler nor Curry went to college so what's your point?
  18. And what about the three articles that I posted? Also, if most people thought that Curry would be "baby Shaq" instead of Chandler being the next Garnett, why did Chandler get picked before Curry?
  19. LOL, I was about to say that. Everyone had Chandler ranked ahead of Curry before the draft and it fell that way as well. 2001 Draft 1.) Kwame Brown 2.) Tyson Chandler 3.) Pau Gasol 4.) Eddy Curry And Chandler WAS expected to be a scorer, hence the Garnett comparisons.
  20. Great job at back-tracking. :headshake We both just proved you wrong.
