Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
What was the "screw mosquito" comment?

Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
The Lead Sox aren't interested in Iguchi. They just re-signed Mark Bellhorn to start at 2B and traded for Ramon Vazquez to be their backup 2B and SS. Iguchi doesn't really have any other options but us if he wants playing time.

Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love that. Instead of Richard Moss, it translates to Richard Moth and the "Moth man".

Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
It actually says that the White Sox first offer was a 2-year, $4 million contract with a $3 million option for a 3rd year in 2007.

Iguchi's agent submits new proposal
I think Kenny should split the difference between Iguchi's agent's proposal (2 years, $6 million) and his own (2 years, $4 million). Offer Iguchi a 2-year, $5 million contract with a team option for 2007... 2005 - $2.5 million 2006 - $2.5 million 2007 - $4.0 million team option Iguchi could be great here in the states and deserve more money but I don't think he should be making more than Uribe right off the bat. Uribe proved he could hit in the majors last season. Iguchi has yet to show that. I really love how Kenny is playing this offseason out after he (thankfully) bombed on Omar Vizquel. He is keeping his mouth shut and negotiating properly with guys instead of talking about it in the media. He is truly "flying under the radar" now! I also love how he's low-balling guys to sign for less.

Pablo Ozuna
Wow, I was looking at Pablo Ozuna's minor league stats and they are pretty damn impressive... http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?ID=628 He can play 2B and SS and he stole alot of bases so he must be pretty fast. I hope this guy beats out Wilson Valdez for the backup utility job. Who cares if he's really 30 years old instead of 26. Iguchi is 30 as well.

Can Barry Larkin still be a starter at SS?
You're right about Larkin not being able to hit left-handed pitching either but Enrique Wilson? Uggghhh... Enrique Wilson's career stats .246 Career AVG .288 Career OBP Wilson was horrible last year and his career numbers are horrible as well. He can't hit lefties OR righties. The idea is to UPGRADE 2nd base, not downgrade it. By the way, the Orioles just signed Enrique Wilson a couple days ago anyways... http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...guenum=&id=5932 All the decent options are running out (not that Wilson was a decent option anyways ). That's why I said it's Iguchi or bust, barring a trade for a 2B or SS of course.

Can Barry Larkin still be a starter at SS?
Agreed. If we signed Larkin and started him full-time, our lineup would probably be: LF Podsednik SS Larkin RF Dye 1B Konerko DH Everett CF Rowand C Pierzynski 3B Crede 2B Uribe Uribe would supply some decent speed in the #9 spot.

Can Barry Larkin still be a starter at SS?
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=MLB&id=3901 Would Larkin be worth starting at SS with Uribe at 2B? He would probably sign for league minimum just to be the White Sox starting SS.

White Sox Wristbands....
That is pretty damn ridiculous but it does say that you can buy them in increments of 5 so maybe $5 dollars for shipping isn't that bad. However, it's still probably better than what you would have to pay for one on Ebay. :puke By the way, thanks for the wristbands ss2k5. I just got them in the mail today!

Ozzie has great expectations for Willie...
Willie isn't an everyday player because he can't hit lefties... Willie's 3-Year Average Splits: vs. Righties 580 At Bats .257 AVG .327 OBP vs. Lefties 129 At Bats .186 AVG .234 OBP Willie's 2004 Splits: vs. Righties 337 At Bats .279 AVG .366 OBP vs. Lefties 72 At Bats .181 AVG .224 OBP Willie's AVG and OBP versus righties is respectable. He just can't hit lefties at all. We need a right-handed 2nd baseman to at least platoon with Willie. Cairo would have been a decent choice but the Mets signed him. Now it's pretty much Iguchi or bust.
