Did Anyone here
Farnsworth is garbage. He's a headcase and all he does is drink all night and pitch with a hangover.

Did Anyone here
So was Wil Cordero and we still signed him.

Did Anyone here
Now THAT would be a good trade. Willie Harris + Joe Borchard for Julio Lugo. I would do it in a second.

Did Anyone here
That's exactly what I was thinking after looking at their roster. Although, Vina is nearing retirement. He probably won't even play in 2005. But they do have Infante at 2B already with Ramon Martinez who they just signed as a utility guy.

Norihiro Nakamura now available to MLB teams
He may want that much but he won't get it. I think the Mets offered him a 2-year, $7 million contract a couple years ago and he was close to accepting it but he turned it down when his Japanese team offered him alot more money.

I think the only reason Willie can't play SS is because of his arm. He has the glove and the range but a noodle arm. Unless he starts injecting roids into his right bicep from now until opening day, Willie has no hope of playing SS.

Maybe the Sox want a fallback plan at closer incase Shingo falters? Ozzie's relationship with Urbina also must play a role in this rumor. Plus the fact that he doesn't seem to like Willie very much.
-
Did Anyone here
I just don't think Urbina is worth the price. He is going to make $4 million in 2005 and seems to only pitch well in the N.L. I don't see how we can add that payroll. Although, I would have no problem dumping Willie for him.

Donnie Sadler
There's a reason -- he sucks.
-
Donnie Sadler
The Sox claimed Sadler last season from the Diamondbacks to serve as Triple A fodder. He's garbage.

Norihiro Nakamura now available to MLB teams
I never said it was happening. But I'm guessing that we will see this guy in the MLB in 2005.

"N. Nakamura put up for auction through posting system" http://www.japanball.com/news.phtml?id=2988 Here are Nakamura's career stats in Japan... http://japanesebaseball.com/players/player.jsp?PlayerID=55 Remember, Kenny was somewhat interested in Nakamura in December... "Notes: Sox view Nakamura workout" http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_cws&fext=.jsp Just some food for thought. I'm not even sure how much money Nakamura is looking for but he would be a nice backup incase Crede busts again in 2005.

Crede's and Uribe's career OBPs are almost identical... Joe Crede - .304 career OBP Juan Uribe - .307 career OBP I would rather see Uribe in the #9 spot instead of having Crede there. Crede would clog the bases for Podsednik when the lineup turns over.- Rumors thread

Maybe it's so teams don't see the same type of pitcher back-to-back. 1.) They go from Buehrle who is a location pitcher... 2.) To Contreras who has the nasty stuff... 3.) To Garcia who has the power stuff... 4.) To El Duque who throws the junk... 5.) To Garland who is best served as the 5th starter.- Sun Times article on Iguchi, fans, & 2005 lineup!
