Dye would have swung at it and had a better chance of homering on that pitch than a first pitch fastball down the middle of the plate (since he doesn't swing at those).

I just watched Marte's pitch again at WhiteSox.com. It's called "Angels rally in 9th:" if you want to see it again. That ball was no where near the zone. It was so low that Chone Figgins would have to be an idiot to swing at it.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. That ball was no where near the zone. With a full count and the bases loaded, he has to throw a pitch that's at least near the strike zone.

And just because Iguchi didn't turn the DP, that doesn't mean it's okay that Marte walked a run in. He needed to at least make the batter put the ball into play. Iguchi blew it and Marte choked.

Timo blew a game earlier in the season when he couldn't hit a sac fly and struck out instead. He just made up for that game. He still doesn't deserve a roster spot when El Duque and Gload are back. I'd rather see Everett, Ozuna, and even Gload in the lineup and outfield than Timo.

Marte walked a run in. I wouldn't call that "doing his job."

Our situational hitting was still horrible once again until the bottom of the 9th. That is what I think people are pissed about.

Reed looks good but I still laugh when I remember how pissed people were when we traded Olivo. He can't hit and he can't call a game. He has a good arm but that's about it.
