dirty is the poppiest, but i still say evol-daydream-sister is the best damn 1-2-3 combo. I'm honestly thinking of maybe telling you to start later at the murray street - sonic nurse - rather ripped. for songs teenage riot, schizophrenia I'm thinking you should start middle at dirty, then if you like it go to the epic daydream nation, and then go where you want...because early sonic youth is very experimental guitar pop-distortion...The only album i really just can't stand was nyc ghosts ALSO - built to spill was awesome tonight.

  16. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 04:01 AM) I'd agree to Day In The Life before I agree to anything by Marvin Gaye. Marvin Gaye is not Classic Rock. Marvin Gaye = just about perfection. My list: Guns N Roses - Welcome To The Jungle Scott Walker - 30th Century Man Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond King Crimson - I Talk To The Wind The Beach Boys - Sail on Sailor Chicago - Beginnings REO Speedwagon - Riding The Storm Out (Live) Tommy James and the Shondells - Crimson & Clover Iggy and the Stooges - Search and Destroy Ritchie Havens - Freedom we overlaps!!!
  17. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) Hello, It's Me by Todd Rundgren is, I think, the perfect pop song, so I'd add that to my list. I think Twenty Five or Six to Four has to make my list as well. I loved me some Terry Kath. bmags, anybody who'd get on you for including Day in the Life and God Only Knows (great picks) probably also likes ketchup on their hotdogs, so they can pound sand. clearly you don't remember the soxtalk best classic rock song contest where there was like 5 essays about why day in the life wasn't classic rock. Just haterz cause my nomination won.

As of now im on an Aphex Twin kick. i just got the analord 1-9 series...its good but not as good as drukqs or richard d james or selected ambient works 85-92...awesome albums yes! but i don't really enjoy analord that much.
