I'm in a jeff mangum fix right now... so i'm going to college a week from monday to the university of mizzou...and i'm gonna miss going to shows badly, KC has some great shows coming up but it appears the only way i can get there is through greyhound bus...and i wouldn't be able to make it back in the morning ever for class...it suckkkks

well, Okkervil river has an eclectic blend of instruments on their albums ala the decemberists, but they have very dark lyrics, and some really great songs. For real and black are my two favorites off of black sheep boy.

i do get tired of the media coverage of this... i have no idea what is the standards for making a specific kidnapping or murder a sexy case for the media... although it usually has to do with them being a young white female. (peterson trial, holloway, jean benet ramsey)

i think takk is a norwegian phrase for thanks...i could be wrong... their lyrics are nothing more then another instrument as far as i'm concerned.

its good, real good...i'm not ready to give it up to AB...i still think thats their best due to untitled 8 alone...but this is good, gong is my favorite...due to this being the first leak i'm sure the album prolly sounds better...

i've listened to a radiohead...at least a song, but mostly an album, every night since seventh grade (6 years ago)...i'd have to say they are my all time favorite band...

i just got stars - set yourself on fire and okkervil river - black sheep boy i saw okkervil river when i saw the decemberists and knew of stars through broken social scene...i am pleased with both...got them from a radiohead message board.

i'll be in minnesota.. as weird as it sounds there were more bands at intonation with a better value that i wanted to see live then at lolla i may be wrong but all i was looking forward to see there was the pixies (though i would go to see them anywhere, 60 bucks for just them is too steep for me) the arcade fire wilco help me out...but those are the headliners for me.

The Go! Team was a major dissappointment to me. Everything that was great about this album was overshadowed by the hired singer with her aweful lyrics and annoying tendencies to tell us it was the go! team...no, he's the f***ing go team, you were the hired help to play it live, and you are butchering it. Prefuse was alright... Death From Above was just as entertaining live as I thought they would be. I loved it...great set in my opinion Tortoise was great. Such great musicians and a perfect way to close the night. Played a bit of TNT songs and Standards songs which made me happy...i didn't like everything is all aroudn you was i the only one who went
