I love Zach and think a lot of stuff was unfounded, especially some of the defense when he had to carry the entire offense and that he was surrounded with absolute morons basketball wise. That said, when DDR is out this team looks normal. Zach is super efficient but at same time he’s sort of in game streaky, he doesn’t press if it’s not there. That’s great. But the bulls as long as they have had DDR have looked great. There is something to the superstar “eff you O can play my game no matter what” that I think is just a bit outside of.

I’d say 10.

Fun how Vooch is settling into this role. Still missing some frustrating close shots but feels like his line has been like 18 pts 14 rebounds 5 assists and other stats stuffing. Just a magical run right now. Feels a lot like 2011.

Paddy's work is by far the most complicated for me. I find it both incredibly productive and needlessly limited. The man brings in some of the biggest stars in the game in tatis, robert and abreu, has found some nice prospects when he had no money periods in Jose Rodriguez... and routinely punts on so much money. Not sure if it's him, but crazy that he doesn't want a more aggressive backing.

That book was great, really takes off when carreyrou goes into when he got sucked into the story as a reporter, as well. Thought it's a bit bewildering reading that book with all the stuff happening in like 2006 and thinking "oh this goes on 9 more years thou"

Cleveland tried to do this, and maybe given time it could have worked out. But I think the calls for a "football guy" isn't necessarily getting bill cowher to lead the org, but to put guys who have been a part of big orgs and running them up top. I've said these a lot but I think the anti-nagy case are the case studies of Patterson and (Mike) Davis. And honestly the run of TEs, but, They were brought to Nagy to run basically the same thing they did in their immediate next stops, and were way, way more successful. Hell, Perriman is even an example. This is where you end up scrambling if you are an evaluator, as you are being told to bring in specific pieces that aren't working, and then they go elsewhere and immediately start working again.

Harrison has phenomenal 2b ratings in OAA, and I thought everyone loves slappy mcgee short RH 2b. His splits make for a fine Leury platoon anyway. Leury is gonna play.

This is a nitpick because I agree but if we get conforto I do not see a need to screw around with defense at 2b to lunge at possibly above average offense. He's had years of being average at 2b but has had some absolutely atrocious years at 2b. Would honestly rather ask Andrelton Simmons to play 2b than Villar (though I'd prefer neither. Starlin Castro seems to be declining but has had some dynamite years at 2b, and can play all over.

I think the poster that said "they are more likely to offload davis" makes a lot more sense. But I would add "we are going to trade McNeil for major league pitching" is kind of a dumb idea so I just don't put that much weight into it. They could just take prospects and then mix the new prospects with their own for a better pitcher.

That's not like an amazing contract for an LT, basically what you'd expect and what we valued him at as well. When Peters played, I didn't feel like there was even a drop off. So good for Leno, but that's basically a deal that rewards his best skill - you will definitely have him playing for you.
